Bad weekend
as many of you know my husband had knee surgery a weekago. then last friday my grandson had surgery to remove a rock in his ear. well after that surgery, i came home, dh had an appoinment with the surgeon for his knee. the kids and i were getting him ready to go when my daughter yelled, mom come here. i ran in and dh's foot was red, not swollen, just red. called the dr, they said get him in there. we did , they had him go to the hospital, he had a blood clot over 2 foot long, it ran from his ankle to his groin. they started him on iv blood thinners and shots in the stomach, and pills. if the appoinment had been today instead of friday he would have been gone. i would have lost the man i have been with for 30 years. i never left his side, but saturday afternoon my son called and said dil had broke her water, so saturday night we had grandchild number 8. ryelee heston was 8 pounds and 20 inches. i have yet to see him, as i made the choice not to leave dh. there is something
in the blood that needs to be around a 2 or 3 for clotting , dh is still at a 1.0. he came home last night, i give him shots in his tummy( yuck!) but as the nurse put it" you give them or he dies" hmm made me get over my fear of the needle fast. he never had any signs of a blood clot, but it was there. his whoel life ahs changed now, we really got a slap inthe face. they don't knwo when he can return to work, so we might loose our house, but it is all ok. ihave my hubby

Wow, I'm so glad he's going to be ok. How scary. Hope he heals quickly and that you can find a way through your money troubles.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family.
What a roller coaster emotional weekend.

thanks to all of you. it was a slap inthe face looking back at how easy he could have died. he goes into the dr tomorrow for a protime(blood work?) and hoepfully it has changed. when he went into the hospital friday it was at 1.0 and even with all the shots and meds it was still 1.0 yesterday. it needs to be between a 2 and a 3

I hope everything works out well for your hubby. I have been married for 35 years and don't know what I would do without my husband around. My prayers are with both of you and congrats on the new grandbaby.

Oh my, like you said, good thing his appointment was when it was. I had a sil who had a problem with blood clots in her legs and she had a time of it and nearly died several times. Bless her heart, she lost her life in a freak car accident 8 years ago though. I'm so glad dh is doing better now and hope his level's come up to normal and stay there.
Congrats on the new grandbaby!! How wonderful too that dh will get to see him. I'm holding your family up in my prayers.
