The Change
I"m having hot flashes and jumpiness and I can't sleep! I made myself a pot of camile tea and came on here hoping to calm down enough to go back to bed. This has been going on now off and on for the past few years. Now my periods have become crazy too. Can hardly wait till I've completed the change! Anyone else out there going thru these now or has been thru it? Any ideas on how you got thru would help. Thanks!

I went through it for several years, most of the time without meds of any type. Same types of symptoms as you are having. I did go on to hormones for a couple of years but they didn't help so I quit them (good thing)
I stopped having TOM for a year. I was so thrilled
Then on my year anniversary I started again. I was alarmed and called my doctor and he had me come in for an immediate biopsy. It was positive and so I had a hysterectomy after about 2 weeks. So now, I am going through surgical menopauce.
The hot flashes still come, not as often or as bad. That is about the only symptoms I have. No nervousness or jumpiness.
Hang on !! You will make it throughLiving Single and Loving it!

My dr thinks I might be starting???? I'm only 33yrs old!!!
For about 9mths now my period has only lasted 1 day each month and a few nights I've woken up just drenched in sweat. I've also started having panic attacks, is that somehow related?? Any advice would be great!!!

I am 44 and pretty much through.......according to my doctor. I have't really had any "symtoms" except that I have only had 4 periods all year. I have had 2 hotflashes in the last 2 years and other than that I guess I have been pretty lucky and not suffered any of the other things that can happen......knock on wood!!

Sage tea is amazing for hot flashes. I've known four women who use it, including my ex for whom I made it everyday and the hot flashes & night sweats disappeared the same day she started it. One or two cups a day will do it.

I have, and i was on meds but got blood clot in leg Dr. said due to meds. I was on. I was in hospital for 4 days and 5 nights. So they believe it was totally the meds - Harmone replacements. So I have since had a new proceedure done called uterine ablation and it worked. I now do not have menstrual cycle and have my uterus and ovaries. They ran alot of tests to see where this came from. I woke up one morning and my foot was pounding and i could not make out toes. It was huge. The blood clot was the size of a dinner plate. What I am tring to say is look into your options.

I went through surgical menopause at 25 when I had my hysterectomy. I've been on estrogen every since. I rarely get a hotflash but do sometimes have a few problems sleeping.
I'd talk to my dr. if I were, he/she might be able to give you just a little something that would help.

Thanks ladies! I want to find out more about that sage tea. I'm going to try Remifmin staring tommorow. I got a 20 day free sample. It is basically black cohosh. I'll let you know if it helps!

I believe I am beginning to go through the change. I don't sweat, but I wake up in the middle of the night burning up and have to get out from under the covers. So unlike me. I have always been cold-natured. I will have a period. Stop. A week or so later have another. And emotional........very.

I had a hysterectomy at the age of 27 a complete one and it threw me into an early menopause. I had been on estrogen for years and stop about 4 years ago. The last couple of years of estrogen I used a natural estrogen from Wal-Mart. It takes about 30 days to get into your system but it worked very well for me and some of my friends have used it. The thing about early menopause is that I would still have some of the same symptoms that women have around the time of their periods. That was the pits..bloating, cranky, eating all the time..did I mention cranky...thanks god that is all over with. I don't know if menopause has anything to do with aniexty problems, but it would be worth talking to your doctor about...Blessings...Kathy
