Exclamation Not going out for New Year's!

Instead I'm taking a nice long WOOHOO! Using all of my sample of "girly stuff", and relaxing with a good book while the guys watch a movie!

We have never gone out on New Year's Eve. Molly is spending the night with a friend, and we are enjoying a quiet evening at home. I might make myself a cocktail, we have a bottle of rum. At least we won't be driving.

I am not going anywhere either. DH has to work tonight and I am dropping DS#3 off at the skating rink. I guess the only place I will go at midnight is to pick him up.

This is the first time in years that DH and I haven't hosted a party or gone out. But it's a good thing this year. DH has a nasty cold and I started coming down with it this morning. DH will be watching football tonight and I think I'm going to read in bed. I doubt if either of us will make it until midnight...LOL!

I WISH I didnt have to go out, DSD is having a get together but I really dont want to go but he insists, it's going to be boring for me since I would much rather stay home and watch a movie, hopefully we can go and come back early.

We always stay home on New Years. DH, DS, DD and I will have some snack foods (hot wings, potato skins, mini pizzas, chili etc..). This, along with some sparkling grape juice (DH and I do not drink alcohol) that we will drink out of some cheap, plastic (but festively decorated) wine glasses. We also have some New Year's party hats and noise makers and will ring in the New Year together, in the safety and comfort of our home. It sounds corny, but it is always a fun way for us to celebrate. The kids love it!!!

We normally either go somewhere for New Year's or host a get together but after this particularly hectic holiday season I'm as is Gripey. We had a simple supper and are just staying home, taking life easy tonight. I'm thrilled. We may do something tomorrow and then again we may not. I'm really tired.

    Happy New Year Everyone!

I've never gone out on New Year's Eve. Hubby and I are watching the Bears game together, and I'm working on my knitting (one of my resolutions).

We used to go out when my husband worked for our local symphony - it was more of a working date than anything. He would be running all over working lights and sound for their New Year's Eve Gala - I'm glad he quit several years ago! Now we celebrate by going to a movie (we saw the new James Bond today) and I'm making cheese enchiladas. Later on we'll meet my sister and her DBF for coffee and pie. A definitely laid-back New Year's!

We don't go out either. Dh and me watch movies once the kids are in bed. On the first we celebrate, we set up a big buffet and go sledding.
