Default 48 hours of completely being smoke free

Okay, As you know I have been trying to quit smoking. I had gone 3 months earlier in the year, then a stressful thing happened and back to the cigarette I went. I do have the patches (they are in my closet) I don't have one on, they tend to burn my skin. Does anyone else have this problem with the nicoteen patches? I know how hard this is going to be , but I think I may finally have it in me. My cough has already improved, in just 48 HOURS. Lord, I pray for my health, please, please, let it be this time that I have the willpower to change my behaviors with this addictive drug, I hate the money that is spent on them $3.60 times 30 days in a month, and how I Have let them control my behavior. Wish me luck, and if anyone else is trying to quit this year, maybe you would like to keep in touch through the website here.

    Buckeye,
Good luck I quit 12 years ago. The patches would burn me to so I quit when I was prego.
It is the hardest thing I have ever done. It is also one of the things I am most proud of accomplishing. I know you can do it!!! Good Luck!!!!

ohhh buckeye ~ I've made it 15 hours so far!

I'm right here with you - I quit for 2 years and started again, I hate it!!

I've used the patch, and no - it didn't burn, but I had the W E I R D E S T dreams -- I've got Nicoderm gum and it burns my throat so I've only used one piece --

Good Luck!! Maybe together we can beat this thing!

((I am positive that one of the main reasons smoking is such a hard habit to break is because it's soooooo easy to get to -- it's a legal drug -- it's around you everywhere you turn -- I can smell the person in the car in front of me smoking -- aggggghhhhhhhhh ))

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Congratulations to both Buckeye and Bumplett! The patches used to leave huge marks on my arms too.

You hang in there. I promise you'll be so proud of yourself once you can say "you quit smoking" and know you really and truly have, not just on a hiatus. My Gripey quit for the last time on Valentine's Day almost 2 years ago. I'm sooooo proud of him and of you for making the commitment. You're gonna feel and smell so much better!
