    Default cold feet

    Good morning,
I haven't seen anything like this posted so maybe someone else out there shares this problem. My father, daughter and myself have always had cold feet. No amount of wool socks, heated socks, insulated footwear ect. has been able to help. My daughter works at a grocery store and wears up to 3 pairs of socks to work .I have had sonograms and dopplers done and they came back fine. I even tried something I found in a hunting article which does work but not for me. If you put deodorant on your feet and put manera wool socks on with your insulated boots before you go outside in the cold your feet will not get cold or smell. My hubby uses this at work and believe me we can actually stand having him take off his shoes (when he was growing up his dog actually buried his boots) and his feet are nice and toasty. Any suggestions?

Have you had your thyroid checked? I know that cold hands can be a symptom of poor thyroid function.....???

I was going to suggest the thyroid as well. Also, what is your standard body temp - is it on the low end?

yep I have thyroid problems but my daughter doesn't. Ever wonder how something as small as the thyroid could cause so many problems? I have a problem regulating it even if I take my meds regularly.

I have heard it is caused by a circulation problem. I always have cold feet too, but once I put on socks and slippers or socks and lace up shoes can warm them up. It couldn't hurt to check with your doctor about some exercises you can do to improve circulation (walking?)

When I have cold feet I can't sleep, and in the winter before I go to bed I always run my feet under hot water to warm them up. I just stand in the bathtub and run some water over them, then I put socks on.
