Face Soap
Years ago my doctor told me to use Purpose soap on my face, because it's gentle and isn't supposed to clog pores or aggravate my acne. At that time it was teenage acne, now that I am almost 29 years old, I guess I would call it adult acne. Well yesterday I saw Pears Soap at the dollar store and it said all the same things Purpose soap does; it's hypo allergenic and won't clog pores. I checked Pears soap out online and it seems to be a good brand it's even selling for up to $3 a bar online. I think I might buy some and try it out from the dollar store. Just wondered if anyone had ever tried Pears soap on their face and if you had good results or not.

Love it. Also gave some to a friend who has severe allergic reactions, and it works for her too. I'd go for it, definitely at a dollar store!

Thank you Edna, I knew someone would have tried this soap
. I am going to go for it! I spend ~$3 a month now on the Purpose soap for my face and I could get a 3 months supply of Pears soap for the same $3 at the dollar store. I'll go next week, I hope it's still there

Im not sure what PURPOSE soap is but I know PEARS. I used that in my teens when my skin was going bonkers. Its just a gylcerin based soap, which is why it wont clog pores but I find soap bars always dried my face. I only use them if Im in a pinch and as soon as I pat my face dry, Im slapping on the heavy cream or my skin will revolt

But PEARS soap for a buck? Now thats a bargain!

I tried pears once and didn't care for it. I use ivory bar soap on my face. I trust it because it's gentle and pure and probably has not changed the forumla since it began being manufactured long ago. It's pretty cheap, too.

I'm early 30s & use Dove sensitive soap. My dermatologist recommended (several years ago) Purpose or Dove to help with adult acne. I tired Purposes first, but it irritates/dries out my combination skin. My skin is clearer using Dove & can't beat the price, less than $4 for a 4 pack. If the Pears doesn't work maybe try Dove or another mild soap (Ivory).

i've seen pears in our dollar store too. i know online it goes for a lot more. i think the vermont country store sells it. then on top of that you have to pay shipping.
the first time i saw it at the dollar store i giggled, since i knew it was cheaper there than on line. i haven't tried it though. i use the store brand version of the olay sensitive skin wash.
