    Default Dh having hip surgery!

My DH is going in for hip replacement surgery in June. He is already at a disadvantage because he had hip surgery at age 10 for a genetic hip problem and he has a prosthesis on his left leg from a motor cycle accident which left him with a very high above the knee amputation in 1987, so his good leg is not even his good leg because his hip is just bone on bone right now. My husband never complains "much", he lives with constant pain from his hip and yet he still does all that he can around the yard and works a very physical job. He is an active guy even with all of the pain but I am praying for a good recovery and I pray that he will have the mobility that he needs to get back out and do the things he loves. He wants to be able to ride his bike again and walk for exercise.

Nancy You and your DH will be in my thoughts & prayers. My MIL had hip replacement surgery last May. We were all extremely worried. Thankfully she is doing quite well.

Im sending a hug your way too Nancy--I think that hip replacement is one of the things that has been advancing in medical care. Best wishes to the both of you for a good surgery and good recovery after.

I am glade to hear that your dh doesnt let this stop him from living. So many people let these types of things interfer with life. Im sure he will do well. Big hugs.
