    Default Shampoo???

I guess I should know this, but I don't. And, right now I'm not at home so I can't do a comparison. So, does anyone know what the difference is between body shampoo and hair shampoo? If something is ok for one part of your body, will it do for the rest of your body?

I have used hair shampoo on my body, but I don't know if I would use body shampoo on my hair. With all the moisturizers in those, I would be afraid it would make my hair greasy.

Well, I figure that hair shampoo can be used on the body, but body can't be used on the hair. My reasoning is that hair stuff is formulated to take off body oil/grime, but body stuff isn't formulated to work on hair. I have never read the bottles or anything, that is just from my own screwed-up mind.

I had a couple of bottles of "Hair and Body shampoo" by a company named Landers. They were really cheap and I really liked them, but cannot find them in the same store. They came in several scents, and I had the coconut one and an orange or tangerine one. If they could be used for both, I thin others probably could too.

I've used shampoo to wash dishes in a pinch, and it turned out fine. I also use shampoo to scrub my tub, though I find it can make it a bit slippery if I don't rinse it properly. I think using shampoo on your body would be fine. I never thought to try using body wash for shampoo. Though with the prices, I don't think it'd be worth it.

I did a google search and this is what I came up with:

There are a few 3-in-1's that do work. I know bath and bodyworks made one and I loved it b/c it was just one bottle I had to take with me while travelling but I still needed a conditioner.

If you use bodywash on your hair, your hair will be dulled and be weighed down. In a pinch Im sure it will work fine but on a regular basis I dont think its work out.

I use Suave 2 in 1 as a body wash and shampoo, and it's great, and cheap. It has conditioners, so it's good for your skin. I put a little on a scrubby and it goes a long way.

I use the Daily Clarifying Suave when I want my hair and skin squeaky clean. Then I just rub baby oil on my skin before I get out of the shower. Makes your skin so soft!

I usually use the leftover suds from my hair on a nylon body scrubby thing (sorry forgot what its called) and use it to wash my body. There is always plenty of suds for the rest of me and I always feel clean. Not sure I would use body wash for my hair though. Besides price, I think it might make my hair funky.
