Do you reward youself for weight lost?
When you've lost a specific amount of weight, do you reward yourself. If so, what do you reward yourself with?
I've lost 13 lbs. and once I'm down 20 lbs. I plan on rewarding myself with something. I'm not sure what as of yet, maybe a new item of clothing.
I've got lots to lose, so I've decided every 20 lbs. I'll reward myself with something just for me.
How about you? Thoughts.

I have around 50lbs to lose, and I need lots of cheering so I do small things like a new lipstick or something like that (non-food) every 5 lb. then at my 10% goal I give myself something bigger.
Like my next treat is a new hair color, my last one was, a massage. I don't give myself clothes cuz I figure that is just an exta bonus when clothes don't fit.
At goal I am getting a tatoo.

I haven't really reward myself yet for my 20 pounds loss. Just the thrill of being down to my pre-pregnancy weight was exciting enough! But I will definitely need some new clothes sooner or later. I'd like to reach my goal before going clothes shopping.

LFL Club: Do or will you reward yourself?
for a job well done or goals met? I'd like to set up some mini rewards for myself. Trying to figure some that I would enjoy. I think fun healthy snacks would work for me as a treat and a reward. (or possibly small craft items) Not sure yet, but will think about this as I grocery shop today.

For my 10 lb loss I got a new pair of $25 walking shoes. For 20 lbs I'm getting a new gym outfit {$20 at Wal-Mart} At 30 lbs I'm getting new jeans. {by then I should need them, right?} At 40 lbs I'm getting a new dress and some new shirts. At my goal of 48 lbs, I'm getting a 2 inch tatoo of a butterfly and one of those Mystic tans..... and maybe my self confidence back...
For mini rewards, like losing 5 lbs or staying away from soda and salt for a week, I get massages from dh and new craft stuff.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to reward myself with but my aunt belonged to a club with 5 ladies. At every 10 lbs. lost, they got a silk flower and then at 50 lbs. they got a crystal vase to put the flowers in.
I do know that I will reward myself with every 10 lbs. lost and when I'm at my goal weight, I plan on making a trip by myself (probably to a quilting show!!)

I will reward myself too, but I don't know what with. I'll have to think of some good rewards.

I think it will be quilting supplies, but I love the flowers in the vase thing, that way I could be reminded of my success. I think I should do something like that I need to think on it some.

Are you all thinking of a timeline (date ahead) now so that you'll work harder?

Learning, I don't know about the others, but I plan on making this a life long change so I plan on going slow. For me, slow and steady wins the race and in weight loss, your suppose to lose it slowly. For those who don't (and I speak from experience) you always end up by gaining it all back and then some.
My doctor told me 2 lbs. a week is the most anyone should lose at any one time other than the first week in which you usually lose more. Thats what I'm aiming for.

I haven't even thought about a reward. I will know much better once I've seen some success.
