New update---went back to doctor this morning at 8am. She said that my foot is better and that she would not give me an IV today. However we must monitor this excessively. any change for the worse at all and I have to go back. besides the prescription, she put me on something called Acidophilus. its a yogurt pill. Yep a yogurt pill. Never had heard of such a thing but its real.
Well anyway...as I type this update...I am up in bed with my foot propped up and living the life of Riley at the moment. Doc said keep my foot up. No walking anymore than necessary. Yea I got this down pat. KWIM...

Acidophilus is a good bacteria, antibiotics often wipe out good AND bad bacteria and throw your stomach out of wack, you NEED the good bacteria in your gut to keep things working right.

Whenever anyone/anything on our farm gets antibiotics we supplement with yogurt, it needs to be one with active live culture. Keeps the system regulated
The horses LOVE a syringe full of yogurt so it also makes it easier to slip them the meds in between, lol, syringe of good stuff, syringe of YUCKY stuff! (a 60cc syringe without a needle is the easiest way to get meds in a critters mouth, lol)
So you behave and take ALL your pills or I'll chase you down with a syringe full of yogurt to take, lol!

Hehehe I know what you're going through. I did the same thing when I had my ingrown toenail looked at, operated on etc. The now ex bf was wonderful through it all - even though we were still in the 'new' phase, he came over every day he wasnt working and stayed over to ensure I stayed off my feet
I got in huge crap for doing a sponge bath in the bathroom one time...he was sleeping and I was more then 2 mins in there and he was pounding on the door asking if I was alright Uh..sorry, I just want to 'feel and smell clean' especially in your presence?
