Default ambulance came to my house last night..

So I put Wesley to bed at like 8:55 p.m. last night. He coughed a bit and cried for a minute or so, then settled down. About 9:00 I go up to check on him and start getting myself ready for bed. I thought it was going to be an early night for me. But I get to the doorway of his room and it just reeks of vomit. I freak out, flip on the light, run to his bed and he is on his back, covered head to toe in vomit, not breathing, turning red, and his eyes were rolling back in his head. I grab his foot and shake him while looking all over for my phone. I'm yelling his name, I turn him over and pound on his back and he started breathing. So I called 911 bawling, they sent an ambulance and by the time the ambulance gets to the house, he is as sweet as pie and sharing his markers with EMS and showing them his feet. He's better now but I am still freaking out.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It can be very scary and lonely when these things happen and you're never sure if you're doing the right thing. Sounds like you acted immediately and got the job done!! It's funny that you went back to check on him, I'd say you're instincts were telling you something was wrong. Good for you.

I hope he is doing okay. He was probably just throwing up and couldnt catch his breath. But you never know, looks like you acted pretty quickly, funny how you checked on him again. That is the mother vibe.. When mine was small, he had a high fever and did one of those febrile seizure and then went completely still. Scared me to death. Then when we got to the hospital, got the fever down, he was the life of the party. Kids snap back so easily.

How terrifying! I'm glad he's o.k., but I'd still take him to the doctor to see what is wrong.
