don't want to borrow worry, but...
I called the docs office to find out results of tests done lately.
Mammo...good just a fibroid
pap...good
but i also had some blood work done and she (nurse) said it all looked good no changes.
she then said "oh, there's a note her. Dr XX wants to see you in his office to discuss the results of the barium enema." The techs seemed to be hovering over my x-rays. not that i'd know what i was looking at anyway.
now i asked if it's any thing i need to know about right now and she said "we'd like to have you come in wednesday if possible''
and that "it's best you speak to the dr."
umm WTF??
what's that mean??
trying not to worry, but uh...
im skeered

Oh, we all know this feeling and it s*cks!

Remember, she isn't allowed to tell you anything. Which is terrifying, of course, and usually nothing serious.
A good friend had the exact same thing after an ultrasound of her uterus. The "important" thing that ~only~ the doc could tell her was that she had endometriosis (sp?) and needed a laporoscopy to clean it out. Like you, she had to wait a couple of days to hear this.
Just post post post on here, someone is always around here to talk - while we wait this out together!

I can understand how you are feeling but remember those people who call you cant say anything, GOOD or Bad. If she gave you wrong or bad advice that would just be terrible so its best to take to the doc.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Keep the faith.. could just be nothing. Techs and nurses are not allowed to say anything at all, that makes them responsible if they do it wrong.. I hate doctors and tests, so I can feel your anxiety.. Keep us posted.

Okay, alright, let's calm down. It could be anything. When I worked in the Dr. office we did this alot, but we also told them not to worry! When are you going in? Take someone with you, mostly to ask questions, and to help you remember what the dr. said. You could have a cyst of some kind, or something else non threatening. Try to relax! PM me if you need to talk!!!!!!

I know its a cliche to say don't worry....BUT try not to!!! Worrying won't help anything at all and will make you a nervous wreck. They above posters are right...the office staff are not able to say anything at all and sometimes they come across as foreboding... I hate it that they leave you hanging like that! Keep us posted.
