Muscle Testing Anyone?
Anybody know anything about "muscle testing"? I've done all the research and read all the stuff. I actually went and saw someone who "muscle tested" both myself and my daughter...and had all sorts of weird stuff to say......like my daughter has spiders in her pancreas????? and I have a hole on my thyroid (and a begnin growth on my thyroid)?????? She said a bunch of other weird stuff too, like I have fracture in my back and that I don;t have arthritis in my hips (which I totally do have, I've seen the xrays!) - she also said my infertility was cause largely by strep??????? she also said that my daughters bio mother wore toxic jewerly during preg. causing back and kidney issues...??????????sounds like a bunch of "gobledegoup" to me, but I know alot of people who really like this gal and have a lot of faith in her.........tell me what you know about muscle testing!

Sorry, never heard of it...but her conclusions sound kinda weird to me. If it doesn't bear witness to what you have experienced or know about your own body, I'd toss it out the window. You know your body best. And, her job is to sell her services. JMO

i've never heard of it before either, but some of it sounds fishy to me. just because others have faith in her, doesn't mean you have to.

I have heard of muscle testing as a tool to determine if an herb/supplement was right for a person. I haven't heard of it done as a diagnostic tool as you are describing. It sounds not only like "gobbledy-gook" as you said. Unless this person is licensed to make diagnoses , she may be doing something illegal by doing so. Does she have some kind of a title as a health practitioner? No one should be giving diagnoses or prescribing either for that matter unless it is within the legal scope of their practice.

Basically, it's a scam to sell stuff. Same as hair testing for heavy metals was a few years ago. The stuff she told you is OUTRAGEOUS! But I think you know that.

I didn't give my opinions in my first post - but when she told me that my daughter had "spiders in her pancreas"....well, it was all I could do to not "bust a gut" a laugh out loud. The strange thing is that she did hit the nail on the head for something very bizarre....she said that I had a hole in an internal organ that was closed some 30 years ago BINGO I was born with a hole in my heart that was surgically repaired 32 years ago.....when she said that, I looked down to make sure that my scar was not showing...nope, so that was kind of creepy. So I know that she was a load of cr@p, but kind of creepy too. That's why I was wondering if anyone knew anything...

I've used muscle testing for over a decade. When done properly (by someone who is trained) it is extremely accurate. Eventually you learn to test yourself. I use it to check my general health, nutrition issues/requirements, test supplements against me (to make sure it's something my body can break down and absorb), etc.
Muscle testing is also used in NAET testing and treatment. (www.naet.com). It eliminates allergies. And - true story - when I was a teenager I went to the doctor for my allergies. They did extensive testing over 2 days (NOT fun). I ended up with a list of OVER 40 things I was allergic to (and wasn't really surprised by it). They gave me all sorts of prescriptions and I had to give myself shots, too... They told me I'd have to do this the rest of my life.
I didn't like that...and frankly the misc prescriptions weren't helping all that much. So...happened to find out that a friend's friend's chiropractor was also a NAET practitioner. At that point I was desperate and ready to try just about anything!! So, I went in to see her. The initial appointment was done solely by muscle testing. I told her I was allergic to dogs and dust. That was it. She produced the SAME list as the doctor, plus 2 things he missed!! No joke... I was floored!!
I proceeded to go to her for treatments...and she proceeded to eliminate (yes totally gone) my allergies. They were BAD. That was years ago...back in '97 and '98...I now have a mild allergy to cats. NOTHING else. NO inhalers, no drugs, nothing.
I don't know how it works...frankly, it looks hokey to me. But, it DID work. Doc's can't find any allergy issues with me now!
And the bulk of the testing and treatment is based on muscle testing.
Anyway, it's worked for me, my husband, many of our friends and even our friend's friends... My mom has a very good friend who started formal triaining in it. It may look hokey, but it does work! Sounds like the lady you know doesn't quite have a handle on the skill...it takes a LOT LOT LOT of practice.Kace - married to Dh 12 years
