Why am I so tired!!!!?????
I'm just exhausted! On Sat. we did pretty much nothing all day, I organized my closet, hung around etc... Well, I lay down on the bed at 7:30 pm to just lay there a minute, and woke up the next morning!!!! It seems like everyday I'm just exhausted! What do you do to get more energy???

I find the more I do, the less sleepy I feel. I am just mentioning this b/c you mentioned that you didn't do much on Saturday, so maybe you are "suffering" from the same problem. I can go out and run errands all day, clean and then go over to my grandparents' house for dinner and not feel as tired that night as I would if I sat around and watched TV or something similar all day. I hope someone else has some better advice/insight. I have been feeling very sleepy lately as well! I think it has to do w/ the fact that I have been out of work for two weeks though...
Hope you feel more energized soon.

Julie, we take lots of vitamins and get some exercise and sunshine everyday (well that it's possible to get sunshine anyway). That helps a lot. Hope you can get your energy back soon. Be sure to eat healthy....

Have you had your thyroid tested? When I developed Hypothyroidism I could hardly pull myself out of bed. They do make herbal supplement to help with thyriod health. However, I would get my blood tested before I went to doing much in the way of treating it and of course this may not be what is wrong. Depression will also make you very tired (not saying you are, just a thought).
Good luck and hope you feel better soon.Jeanna

Do you sleep all night long or does it feel like you've waken up over and over? Does your DH tell you that your breathing slows during the night? or (Hate to ask) do you snore or breathe funny? I have sleep apnea and found that no matter how much sleep I was getting every night, I would still be exhausted every day.
If you've been tired for a while, I would give your dr a call and see if they suggest a sleep study. Also, try and keep a log of when you went to bed, how long you slept, how you felt when you woke up, etc... that may help you figure out why you're tired.
Good luck!Wife to DH

It seems like I've been getting more and more tired with each day. I feel really good, until around 5:00 each day!
I do take my vitamins, whenever I remember. I've had my thyroid tested, and it comes out fine. Thanks for the tips!

Have you been getting enough iron? For myself, I find that if I don't get enough iron, that makes me feel sluggish. Just a tip if you're going to try the iron- don't trust anything that walmart has.I know this might be more expensive, but you'll need to get a high quality brand of iron that your body will absorb...Solgar is one & I think Bluebonnet-to name a few. I can only find these in a health food/herbal shop. If you go to one of these stores & ask someone for a good brand of iron that won't just shoot through you,I'm sure they can help you.

It happens to me every year this time. Shorter days, cooler temps, less sunshine. I get SAD (seasonal affective disorder) every fall, and start sleeping more, and being tired more. It's like the shorter days signal something in our prehistoric genes for us to hibernate.
I find that getting outside as much as possible, and getting as much light as possible helps.

You've gotten a lot of good tips already, so I don't have much to add, just wanted to say that I'm with you-- can't ever seem to shake this sluggish feeling lately. Then I get into a cycle of drinking a lot of caffeine, which of course doesn't help in the long run. Ugh.
Hope you feel better and more rested soon!

First I'd get a checkup. I take multi-vitamins and minerals, a liquid b vitamin and ginseng.

I get like this from time to time. Vitamins, and especially exercise, helps. (I should take my own advice...
) But I do find that a good brisk walk usually helps.
