Nope. They are free here, too. I know professionals say it's a myth people get sick after but we get super sick after so the professionals can kiss my butt! I kind of think they are a joke anyway. That is my personal view, though.

I had my done a week or so ago, I can't afford to get sick take time off of work or be unable to care for my son.

I don't get sick from the shots. So far, Wesley hasn't had his, but I plan on getting his soon.

No we don't, I have issues with shots. JMO, but too many medical professionals in my family, so I've personally seen too many have reactions, problems to get any that we don't have to.

Our family got ours last week. Since I am diabetic, have chronic kidney disease and a few other chronic illnesses a flu shot is a must. DS has reactive airway disease so he has to have one also. The flu could very easily kill either one of us. Our doctors also recommend that anyone living with us or any caregivers get the shot so DH and DD always get them, too. My mom gives us ours. She orders enough of the vaccine for all of the people in her office plus us. She lines us all up and shoots away.

I also get a pneumonia shot every ten years.

    Default FLU

We never get the shots, haven't had a bout of flu (knock on wood) in 10 years....I personally feel it is a myth, the flu is a part of life, we don't do the chicken pox shot either, it is natural........only my views.........

I've always heard older people prone to respiratory illnesses should get a flu shot. I have friends who have their children get flu shots every year. I personally do not think it is necessary unless you are at risk.

I pay $25 for a flu shot each year and it's well worth it to me. I teach and it's sheer torture trying to find a substitute when you're feeling like death warmed over because of the flu.

DH and the boys got their shot last week and I am getting mine tomorrow. We get one every year and we have never had any reactions to the shot. The year that DH doesn't get the shot, he gets the flu. It is so worth it for him to get it instead of being out sick.

I'm waiting to get mine on Nov 1st. I'm off the next day just in case. Have taken the flu shot many times before and never had a problem until last year and got sicker than a dawg!

Gripey and I got our's about a month ago. We never get sick from it but do sometimes have a sore arm for a day or 2.

I don't and would not consider having my children get one.

We won't either. Our doctor tries to push them on us every year because our "advanced age" makes us "high risk." We're in our 50's.

I may be 50 but I still know how to say no.

I don't. I have never had the flu in my life and I am not going to put the flu virus into my body by way of shot. My Grandmother gets one because her spleen has been removed, and she always gets the flu soon after getting her shot. I don't know anyone else in my family who gets them, and I only know one time anyone in the family has had the flu, and that was over 10 years ago.
