    Exclamation i'm crying and crying!!!!!

When I had chemo, it affected my teeth. Never had any problems with my teeth ever. Yesterday one of my teeth fell out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OF course, I don't have the money to go and get a partial, so I have this big gaping hole on the left side!!!! I refuse to smile! I feel so ugly!!!!

I am so sorry. I don't have any dental insurance (or money) either. I need a partial too. I cried last time a tooth broke. I feel your pain.

Oh bless your heart!! Please don't be so hard on yourself!! Is there anyway insurance can pay for it if it's a side effect of the chemo? Sending a big hug to you. . .

Don't worry about it. Smile any way, I have figured out along time ago, that life is too short not too. I also have to learn to do without, even in bad situtations. It feels funny now, but in a few days you will not even feel it. As for looking bad, I doubt it, don't be so hard on yourself.. I am sure you are beautiful..even without it.

Is there a dental school anywhere around you? I've never been but have read they are reasonable.

A few years ago, I had a root canal on my one front tooth, about 3-4 months later the tooth broke and I had a half a tooth and I thought I was ugly that when I talked I held my hand up to my mouth and never smiled.... I did get the tooth fixed without insurance (I had to pay for it in cash was about $180 - hard filling and bonding) but afterwards I felt better of course but realized that I WAS and AM beautiful no matter with or without a tooth. To this day it is the same and never broke again and how I wish I could get a crown but if it breaks again I will let it be.

You are not ugly you are very beautiful no matter what, you just remember that!

I agree with everyone one else here. SMILE ANYWAY. Once it feels "normal" in your mouth it will be easier.

Like nodmicks suggested, if there is a dental school local they will do things on a sliding scale fee, so that may be an options. Have you talked to a dentist to find out how much it might cost to have the partial? Most dentists will work with you on the financing part of it especially when they know they don't have to deal with insurance companies.

Oh Julie, I'm so sorry!! I agree with the others, I'm sure you can find a way to get it fixed for less or there must be a dentist who will accept payments. Don't give up and keep smiling!!

I'm so sorry - I would get a free consult with a couple of dentists and see how much it would be - might not be as bad as you think and a lot of dentists do have payment plans - hope it all works out for you

Hugs to you~I hate it that dentistry is so expensive. It will be better. I agree that you should try and get in to see a dentist and get an estimate.
