Default Here's what the dr. said.....

    I do have the fibromyalgia.
he does not want to do surgery, if it can be helped, thus the physical therapy.

well, i need prayers and good thoughts to help me get through the next couple of weeks. i am in constant pain, my dh really does not get it, and neither do the kids. it's hard getting up and down and they are constantly asking for this or that, and i have a hard time telling them to get it theirselves!

so please keep me in mind as you are going about your day.
off to do some research on the fibromyalgia

Keeping you in my thoughts here, I have two friends with Fibro and it's a frustrating condition, and yes often others do NOT get the pain you are in. Try to keep the stress to a minimum and work with your Doctor on a therapy and med routine.

(((Moor))) I'm sorry you have fibromyalgia. I've had it since 1997. The physical therapy can help to keep you from stiffening up. I also went to a good Chiropractor for about 3 years till my insurance ran out. My family had a difficult time understanding my illness also. I think it was most difficult to understand because I would have a good day and then have a few weeks of bad days. I was always a busy person and it was even hard for me to understand that I just had to rest and not overdo it or I'd be in bed for days.

Do try to avoid any kind of surgery. It can worsen your fibro. I had emergency surgery back in May and I'm still having a rough time getting back to the condition I was in before the surgery which wasn't great but I was used to it and I was more active.

What truely made my family understand how bad I was is when I applied for and was given Disability Social Security at age 47 with Fibromyalgia being one of main reasons for the disability.

There is lots of good information on Fibro. on the net but stay clear of all the ads promoting a 'cure'. They are worthless. If you have any questions I'll be glad to answer them for you. Gentle hugs for you.
