Default Okay, what kind of diet are we all following?

I'm thinking of doing my WW, but doing it myself instead of going to the meeetings.

Still no "diet" here. Gripey and I are eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies, lots of chicken, drinking only water and limiting snacks to healthy things. When we splurge, and we do, we just make sure we get right back 'on program' as soon as possible. Like if we're out of town and not eating as healthy as we should be, we make sure to get some form of exercise daily and drink our water, trying to eat fruits and veggies when we can.
Also we are still doing a 45 minute workout daily...today I did the gazelle but instead of doing the video I watched Live and The View.

I hate sharing because my way of eating (for life) is so hated LOL.

My body doesnt handle grains well and I do low(er) carb

It's the only thing that works long term for me because I crave bad foods otherwise.

Body for Life, but only when I'm not training for a triathlon. BFL does not allow enough carbohydrates to fuel my workouts. But if you are looking to drop weight, the BFL diet and exercise program is excellent and it tells you exactly what to do. You can get the books anywhere.

I moonlight as a martial arts instructor and am asked this question often by our adult students and I always recomment BFL.

~Just counting calories. I aim for 1200-1400 a day. I'm in my third week and have lost 4lbs. I carefully weigh and measure foods. I'm also sneaking in exercise during the day by doing more intensive housework, doing simple aerobics during commercials and being active with the kids. I hope to reach my goal weight in January.~

No "diet" here either but we do watch what we eat, for me I have been maintaining my "50 lbs lost weight" and sticking to my same weight now. DH is still losing (since he didnt reach his goal yet) but we just limit what we eat and cut out junk food or eat in moderation. It has helped us since we totally ove veggies and fruits as snacks instead of chocolate

Isn't it funny how people get about the low-carb thing?

I've done South Beach off and on for a while...right now I'm off. =) I'm just trying to stay away from sweets. (it's not working too well right now.) I love the way eating low-er carb makes me feel. Infact... I had a cinnamon roll thing for breakfast and am paying the price right now.

I am looking into the no s plan. I'm very interested, but need to read more about it.

I am former WWer who's maintaining a 30+ pound weight loss for five years now and currently doing the No S Diet and loving it. It's not really a diet at all, just old-fashioned eating and real food. I am down 20 pounds more (for a total of 50 from my top weight) and loving it.

My goal for 2008 is to hit my goal weight which is about 50 pounds down from where I am now.

I am just watching what I eat. I try to exercise 5-6 days per week, and I try not to eat any junk (very hard for me to do!). Been doing this for 4 weeks now, and have lost 14 lbs so far. The main reason I've lost so much so fast, I think, is because I cut out my pop. I was drinking 4-5 a day before!

Right now, I'm trying really hard to just maintain my weight through the holidays and then I'll kick into weight loss mode in the new year!

I am not really on a diet. I am trying to make better choices. I'm trying to eat normal size portions, probably small compared to most portions that we are served or serve ourselves.

Today I had a yogurt and a breakfast bar for breakfast along with a viatmin C tablet and a choc. Viactiv (calcium supplement), lunch was a small bowl of squash soup and a toasted cheese sandwich, snack was a banana, dinner was 1/2 a chicken patty on bun, 1 cup of sweet potato fries, and 1 cup of broccoli & cauliflower florets. I took a multi-viatmin after dinner and another viatmin C tablet. Then I had another choc. calcium supplement for dessert with a cup of coffee.

As you can see I am trying to incorporate vitamins and minerals, per doctor's orders. I don't deny myself a cookie here and there as long as I don't have too many.

I like to think I just eat normally.

That or the grad student diet which consists of working in free food from seminars, meetings, brownbags, whenever we can.
