Update on Dh and his heart!
Well, he came home from the hospital late last night. He was having some more problems, and when the cardiologist came in to check and compare his tests, he said he didn't like what he saw, so DH had a heart catheritization withing 15 minutes. The results are better than the doctor expected. It seems DH has a 30% blocked artery on the left side of his heart, and also, has abnormal blood vessels that go up and down like peaks and valleys making his heart have to work harder. They have changed meds, and put him also on a baby aspirin 1 time a day, and we have to continue to monitor his blood pressure 4x's daily and when the bottom No. stays over 90-100 for longer periods of time , we have to call in. It was high last night 103, but today it is better only 85. He says this is his wake up call, lifechanging. So, he now has the beginnings of heart disease (he's 45 years old) and we have to watch the blocked artery when, it gets to 60% that is trouble. So he is going to be off work for a bit, and see what happens with the new meds. Thank God he reacted when he did, stroke was calling his name!! The kdis are health conscience but DH and I aren't really, well, that is all changing. We are doing it all together. Thanks for everything all of you, but continue to pray for us for strength to make all of the necessary changes for life.

It's not going to be easy making those changes, some grumbling ahead but it is so worth the struggle. Continued healthy wishes for you all!

So glad they caught things early. My dad had 2 40's and a 50% blockage when he was forty. He is now 72 and doing pretty well. He just learned to take care of his health. So glad you and your dh are doing the same. He is lucky to have the knowledge of his situation before it was too late. Thanks for updating us.

Your family will continue to be in my prayers. As his caregiver, your life wii change quite a bit. There are several sites on line that will help you with information and support. One of the first things that you will have to watch for is denial on his part, I did not want to accept my condition and fought my DW tooth and nail but she stayed the course. Now I have kearned to accept it and am working at staying as healthy as I can. Good luck.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
