Does anyone post their menus/foods for the day?
I'm back on WW. I do the Turn Around program....it's the one I was originally on (5 years ago) and it works well for me. The Flex and Core program confuse me and I have a hard time sticking to them!
I'm about 10 pounds over goal weight.

stinkbug -- what is the "turn around program"? I don't know about that one and I'm interested to hear about it. I do the flex program. I would like to see what other people are eating -- maybe it would inspire me. That's my vote on the matter. Also, I didn't think to talk about how much we want to lose. You said you are 10 pounds over where you want to be. I am 100 pounds over (according to doctor and BMI). Anyone else want to share about this topic?

The TurnAround Program is the umbrella name for the food programs now that WW offers but the Flex Program and the Core Program.

I am back to WW on the Core program and doing very well. I fiddled and diddled my first three WI so I am only down 6.6 but I am on the wagon this week and hope to get down into the 210s again.

I lost almost 100 pounds with WW in 2003-2004 but put a lot of it (but not all!) back on, and I have about 60 pounds until goal.

Nantahala -- you go girl! That's awesome! You are my hero -- and hopefully I will be joining you in the 100 pound weight loss! I'm glad you joined in the discussion. Can I ask, why do you like Core over Flex? I haven't tried the Core -- it seemed too hard to me.

I'm joining tomorrow. I've done it before and had great success. This time I need to stick with it and become lifetime so I don't have to pay for it anymore!

The original Turn Around program I think is a little more structured. You get a variable amount of points per day (say 20-25) and then you can earn more with exercise, and save them or use them daily. Flex seems to add a LOT more points and Core just seems hard to follow. I think it's just what I learned, and it works for me and I still have all the materials. I haven't been to a meeting in ages because I don't want to pay...and I think I'd have to pay the starting fee even though I was/am a lifetime member. And....this may sound mean, but all our meetings seemed to be older ladies that I just don't fit in with (and I'm almost 50!) Maybe because I go to the morning meetings?

I originally joined with a friend, and that was hard for me. I do better on my own. I'm not competative by nature....I felt bad if I lost more (or if she did!) we had different lifestyles, and she eventually dropped out. I need to just be accountable to ME!

Cricket1 -- I hope you will continue to post on here regarding your progress. I like knowing how people are doing and their ideas. Kind of like our own FV WW mtg but without having to pay!

stinkbug -- that's good that you know what works for you and what doesn't. Good luck and hope to see you in here again!

    PS...I weighed in this morning...down 2 pounds :-) My goal weight is 125, I'm at 132.8. I actually feel better if I'm at about 123. BTW...I'm short!

Also, I posted on another thread about 3 FatChicks site. (it won't let me post a link?) But they have really good tips and WW friendly recipes.

stinkbug -- I'll have to check out that site. When I went to WW meetings (paid for them for about 4 months), the leader told us about www.skinnyweek.com -- it has some good recipes.

Also -- congrats on the weightloss! I haven't weighed yet this week, but also have fallen off the wagon the last few days. Emotional eating I think -- my stepmom and her brain tumor have been on my mind.

    Thank you!

I like Core because I eat 90% Core foods anyway so counting them has always been a chore (mostly fruit and lean meats) for me. I do tweak it a bit, I don't use the fat-free products, but low-fat and I do use all of my weekly allowance points for a restaurant meal or whatnot.

But mostly I like Core because I lose weight quickly but safely. It's low sugar and high in protein and fiber, which for me takes the weight off the middle where I carry my fat.

I've been buying the monthly pass which is less than $10 a week + free e-tools on the main site. We're tightening the budget so it's under my "recreation" category for me now.
