If you could have an extreme makeover...
what would you have done? I really like watching the show, but always wish they'd just speed it along already! lol Esp hate the part where the person is in front of the mirror and they cut to commercial. UGHHHH
Anyway...I always think how they'd have a field day with me. Let's see...rhinoplasty, eye lift, lipo, veneers, lasik, etc etc etc.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Those makeovers are amazing, I think I'd go for it all too.
I especially cry when I see the people who really need new teeth get them. The look on their faces when they see & knowing how much this means to their self esteem just moves me so.~*Darlene*~

Call me conceited (I like to think self-confident), but I wouldn't change most anything. I WOULD like to tighten up the leftover flab from losing a lot of weight a few years so I might go for the tummy tuck or whatever it is.

I used to say no as I have always been pretty happy with how I looked but now that age is showing I would love to have it done. However for me it would be gastric bypass or lapband system and then all the lifts/tucks that go with it. Also laser treatment on my eyes.

I would want new teeth, gastric bypass, and I would have my eyes done to get rid of the luggage that is under them now, we have passed the bags and now have a full set of Samsonite Luggage under each eye

If I could only choose one thing, I'd want new teeth. My teeth have gotten extremely brittle since having children and they're causing me a lot of pain from the sharp edges. I always find more important things to spend my money on, like the kids or hubby.

personally, i wouldn't do cosmetic surgery... if i don't "need" it done, it won't happen. i'm too skiddish i guess.
but here's my question...
all these make-overs people get... be it superficial, such as makeup, hair, clothes... to something more serious, lipo, implants, reductions, changes...
how many people MAINTAIN these changes??
esp. taking a "farm wife to belle of the ball" kind of things.
if it's not in your lifestyle... wouldn't it be hard to keep up?

That's a great point. Think of the women who get breast implants who won't be able to afford to remove them when they get to a dangerous age (5-10 years) or if they rupture. People think implants cause autoimmune diseases as well. Imagine incurring a lifelong illness as a result of the makeover.
Okay, so I'd get boobs (lol- probably not,) veneers so my incisors look the same length, a very minor rhinoplasty and a small eye/eyebrow lift so my eyes slanted up just a tiny bit- same as I look when my hair is pulled back in a tight ponytail. Maybe a tiny bit of lip plumping.
I'd be scared that I wouldn't look like me when it's done. That's what happens to those women. They end up looking like you could sell them as American Barbie Dolls.

for me... hummmm boob job, lipo on my thighs and butt area and possibly laser treatments to get rid of some scars and wrinkles and that's really it.

I think I would stick to the "easy", less painful stuff! I would go for lasik & have my teeth done. They aren't horrible, but they certainly aren't straight and even and pearly white.
I might have a few things (or a pair...rather), put back where they were before I had kids...but I think that might be about it. I don't think I would go whole hog, like they do on that show! It would freak out my family, if they came home to a different mom!

I have had alot of teeth work done so for me it would be to finish it up and have some pearlly whites.... I would also want to work with that work out guy and get some fat took out and a breast lift.
There was a guy in our town that was on there (the one where he has lost over 200lbs and had all that excess skin) I see him all the time and he still looks great! He told me that he didn't really want to have all the facial stuff done but that was part of the show and he had to take all or none.

I would want a full mouth restoration. I think that's what they're called. I have never been proud of my smile and I know that it was do TONS for my self esteem.
Other than that, getting rid of the extra-ness around my waist and finally getting that hourglass silhouette. I always feel like my torso, all the way down to my legs is the same width and I don't really like that.marie/andrea

I've got all this extra skin on my belly from the 3 babies. You can feel the hard muscle underneath, but it's covered by extra, yucky skin. Then, they could take that skin and tuck it into my boobies and give me those back.
