shaving question...
I was wondering what some ladies do when looking for a more frugal and enviornmentally concious way to shave (legs etc...)without resorting to throw away shavers? any advice would be much appreciated-

Well, after my electric razor was accidentally thrown away - I haven't shaved my legs.

Note to self: look for a new razor!Stacey

I use the more expensive (but sooo much better) razors with replacable cartridges, but I've been making each cartridge last for a month or more with a tip I heard on Clark Howard: just dry the blade with a towel (or the hair dryer if you really want to go all out) after each use and store it in a dry place (I just keep it on top of the shower door, rather than *in* the shower like I used to).

I use a epilady that twizzes your hair out and I love it because you only need to shave once every three to four weeks. It hurts like **** the first time but it is worth it. The second time no problem. Just grin and bare it.

I use my SilkEpil when the hairs are still quite short and it doesn't hurt. They come off easily.
(Once in a while I have my legs waxed though.)

Just wanted to add--I just bought 12 of my cartridges on eBay for a bit less than the price of 4 at Wal-Mart. *\o/* So look around for options, too.

i use disposable razors that i buy at the dollar tree store for shaving my legs.
For shaving the bikini area, I use a beard trimmer. (dh's actually, lol, i clean it and he doesn't even know.)
