Default please help me loose weight

I wasn't going to say anything becuase I have tried and failed before.
I am determinded not to fail so I have decided to drag you all into it. I have to loose 80 pounds, well now its 77 ! I know that sounds like a lot of weight and it is but I carry it well. Nobody would guess I need to loose that much. Anyways I have started a weightloss blog and if anybody is intersted it would help me if I knew that somebody was looking at it. You know, hold me accountable . I need a team to keep me going. Frankly I have a lot on my plate so I know its not going to be the best time to embark on yet another challange but I have to do this. For my health and self eesteam.

So I am sorry to say that will have to let go of my no spend challange in order to make room for a more pressing matter. Don't get me wrong I still have to cut back and controll the spending but I think that to say NO Spending on top of no eating would just kill me. TIA

Yes, that is a current picture in my avatar. You just can't see me from the neck down! LOL

You are taking the first steps in the right direction!! I know your blog is going to help a lot of us that are trying to do the same as you!!

I started my journey a year ago. I finally got tired of missing out (I did that to myself...low self esteem = wanting to hide!!) and I finally got serious and did it for myself! I was able to take off 67 lbs, I would like to take 20 or so more off! Some days are hard but I take it 1 day at a time and I don't beat myself up over little slips!
Good luck to you.......we are all here for you!!

It's totally free, and they will help you come up with a goal weight, target daily calorie range for weight loss (then weight maintenance), and target activity levels. You can log your food and activity on their site too, and they have tons of message boards with pros who come on and answer questions.

It's the tool that's helped me lose 55 pounds since April '07 I love them!

Ann, I just thought I'd check in and tell you "good luck". I am like you, I "carry my weight well", which is not always good, because suddenly I was 174 pounds, which on my 5'8" frame may not seem like alot to you all, but I spent most of my young days hovering around 125. So anyway, here I am at 132-135, much happier, and encouraging you that IT CAN BE DONE. Portion control is everything!!

    you go girl!

    Ann,
Wanna buddy up? Two years ago I took off 20+ pounds and I've let all of it sneak back on.....I'm PO'd at myself to say the least!

I need to lose about 50-60 lbs. (My avatar was taken 18 mos ago when I was at my lowest since college).

Are you using a specific program? I don't want a diet (I lost the above weight with Weight Watchers), I just need to change my eating habits (ie eating when I'm bored/tired/lonely, etc....) And make better choices when I do go looking for something to eat.

    So, whatdya say.....???

If you have any questions about working out, feel free to let me know. I'm not a certified trainer or anything like that, but I have an Ironman triathlon (am training for another in June) and tons of shorter ones under my belt, and I am a karate instructor. At the very least I can tell you what works and doesn't work for me!!

Good luck - you are taking the right steps!!

Red face Do It For Your Children

I would suggest that you focus on your children....anything you do for your own health is going to permit you to live a much longer life. Keep in mind the health problems that develop with weight gain....I know your daughters want their mother around for a very long time......................

I've been doing the Johnson's Up day, Down day diet, and have lost over 30 lbs. It doesn't really seem like a diet to me . . you might want to check it out.

Good luck, AnnK. My DH fights with his weight every day. He will lose weight, only to gain it back. It is a never ending battle with him. The past two years, after he found out he had Type 2 Diabetes, he has done much better. Just take it one day at a time!
