Question So you're losing the weight....

what do YOU think is the secret to your success?

I am on Weight Watchers and truly believe 1) WATER,2) following plan along with at least one meeting a week and 3) excercise are the keys for me.

I'm tracking my food intake and keeping my calories in a range set up by spam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! I also get at least the recommended cardio workouts in, usually more than the recommended.

I get all my water in and usually 5 fruits/veggies per day. I've switched from white bread/rice/pasta to whole wheat/grain.

    It's working

i exercise every day and try to pay attention to what i eat.
i log everything i do, so i dont over-do anything (be it exercise or food).
and i dont get down if i eat more than i should one day, not enough the next or decide to have that dessert.
i've chosen to live a healthy life, and that's what i'm doing. i just won't obsess about it nor will i worry myself over such unimportant stuff.
so i'd say that's mostly my perspective.

    Default Do Cardio Every Day!

In my case I'd have to say it was something very simple that I read in Prevention magazine. They had a series of profiles on the Biggest Loser winners and they said point blank: Do cardio every day, 45 minutes+. And I've been doing that and it works! I'm not the kind of person who can just not eat and lose weight - I used to have an eating disorder so I can't play food games. I have to exercise. So I do it every day I can. There is one built in day, due to my work schedule, that I can't do a really heavy work out, so that's my rest day. My body usually feels "clean" after working out so I don't tend to want a lot of junky food afterwards. Good luck to everyone! Don't give up!

I've lost 10% of my body weight in the last 2.5 months. Here's what worked for me:
~Taking fitness classes. I like the public/ appointment aspect.
~Food scale. It's really enlightening to see what a portion really is!
    ~Not baking goodies so much!
    ~Eating bread less than once a week. I'm a carb-a-holic!
~Keeping fresh veggies cut up in the fridge and low calories granola bars on hand for snacks.

Walk, eat healthy, drink lots of water or decaf tea, allow myself some "junk" food without guilt - just make sure it is a portion size, if I am still hungry and I know I have eaten the right amount of calories I will pop a piece of gum in my mouth. That seems to stop the feeling of I still need food.

For me it's been drinking the water, working out daily (cardio....45 minutes to an hour) and really watching what I eat. It's not always easy and I'm finding that even though I'm not at my goal weight yet, to maintain I'm going to have to keep doing what I've been doing to lose probably for.ev.er.

    Hi,

I would say the secret to my weightloss and maintainance has been to learn about nutrition and to do some extra movement every day!

I lost 40 lbs, gained some back, and now I'm back to it! Yay!

Anywho, basically everything that everyone else has said has worked for me too. Also, planning when I would eat has helped almost more than anything! I know that after my morning workout, I will have breakfast. 1:00 is lunch, 4:30 is dinner, and so on. I do have snacks, but they are low-cal, and I dont' eat a lot. Love those 100 calorie packs!
