Default Possibility of Sezure Assist Dog

This has really excited Joe... we found 2.... yeah i said 2 organizations with in an hour of us who train service dogs... these organizations do not charge the applicants. One of the organizations actually specifically tries to train sezure dogs.. the other assist dogs which may or may not cue to sezures.

He has the application and is going to fill it out and return it to one of the places once we have went and looked at the facility. It is really important to Joe to make sure that the dogs are treated well. They say given the situation that we are in and the avalibility of dogs that they have it could be anywhere from 6 months to 4 years before we got a dog that "fit". They say that its more like 2-4 on their website, but that here lately application to dog and person in need clicking has been more like 6 months or so.

Between that and semi Joking with the lady asking if they could train our ferret to be a service animal since he tries to drag Joe out of sezures this is one of the things that Joe has been most excited about and has kept him up beat even though he is getting depressed about the wheelchair situation.

I don't know your story, but wanted to say that I really hope you can get your seizure dog quickly! I have a seizure disorder, but it's controlled by meds. I know so many that aren't as fortunate as I am.

These dogs are amazing - I hope you find the right "fit" for Joe and your new dog will be placed trained and placed quickly.

Me too .. it would be awsome ... we are hoping for VNS to help with the sezures if we are approved.. but we know the success rate is only 50/50

I hope you a can get a service dog soon.
My brother is blind and has had a guide dog for about 6 years now. It changed his life. He can truly be independent. He did not pay anything for the dog and they even help with the vet bills.
