You know, Edna, I DID used to put ground flaxseed in everything. That may be what's missing!

    Thanks all for the suggestions!

I have the same issue. My doctor recommended pure coconut oil in place of the Eucerine cream I was using. I have also used Homemedic's psorisis cream with good results. I was also told to wash my face with baby shampoo.

No remedies, but to hide it in the meantime look for green (yes, green) concealer or face powder. It's designed to counteract redness. HTH!

Christa--I've had 3-4 green concealers, and for some reason, rather than green + red = beige, for me green + red = gray. Looks really bad. I've tried, light application, heavy appl., and blending as much as possible, No luck.

Plus, I am trying to get less into makeup and more into solving the problem= making my face just naturally less red.

I think I may try the Eucerin with green in it. Have to use a moisturizer anyway, maybe this will work.

Something that might help as a temp fix...I've done this on mildly irritated area before...use the eyedrops that get the red out...though I'm not sure if that will help alot due to it sounding like you have thin very pale skin and you said you have capillaries near the surface. But it isn't much for a sm bottle and you may try it. Changing your diet and stuff may help but w your capillaries that close you may never completely get rid of the blush you have and I've noticed it prob increases w age and will show up when you start going through the change and heat flashes. My mom had this issue....and she had the very pale porcelain white skin.

Instead of the green powder get one w all the colors...they have many lines and I can't think of one...but it will have the brown, pink, tan(?) and green patches that when you brush it they blend...maybe that would work since the green was to over powering.

Wish I could be of more help...I imagine it must be a pain at times.

Which Eucerin are you using? I use the one with 10% urea, and it seems to work BUT if I stop for a few days, the redness comes back. I use cleansers for dry or sensitive skin, and they seem to help. You could try rose water as a toner- most of the ones on the market have alcohol in them. I have very pale, Irish skin, and apparently Celtic skins are prone to redness etc. I used a really good cream before- Guinot anti redness balm- it was brilliant but quite pricey. I find some dairy products turn me beetroot a few minutes after eating them- maybe you could try to exclude them from your diet for a while? Hope it gets better for you!

pooky, I haven't bought any yet, thinking about it. At $12, for a couple of ounces, I may stay red!
