    Default The End Of Antibiotics

(NaturalNews) Eventually antibiotics are going to be seen as one of the worst things to ever come out of pharmaceutical science because in the end, they have made us only weaker in the face of ever increasingly strong super bugs that are resistant to all the antibiotics doctors have at their disposal. When we look at how deep the rabbit hole goes with antibiotics, we will get sick in our souls. Antibiotics have fulfilled their anti–biotic anti-life role leaving a long trail of death and suffering in the wake of their use.

Well I, for one am grateful for them. They've saved my life a couple of times... blood poisoning is a nasty way to die.

If you are eating meat you are getting low doses of antibiotics. So of course there are going to develop superbugs But antibiotics have saved and do save thousands of lives. I know I would have been in a terrible place without them. Of course an ounce of prevention is truly worth more than a pound of cure. And you shouldn't take them if you don't need them as you could develop an allergy or immunity and when you do need them you are SOL. I am a believer in natural cures if possible but don't put your health at risk.

I am grateful in that aspect too. In 2007, my dd was 7 months pregnant and had E Coli blood poisoning. They had her hooked up to a broad spectrum antibiotic and I am sure that it saved her life as well. They do serve a purpose indeed. too bad they are so misused though.

The only meat I will buy anymore is organic pasture fed. I am blessed that whenever my youngest dd or dh want some chicken or beef or lamb, all I have to do is walk down the road and buy pasture fed from my neighbors. I wish it was this accessible to everyone!

What a scary article and there's no real answer at the moment for people who do need to take an antibiotic, which makes the whole situation more fearful.

Antibiotics have indeed been over used with resulting resistance by many bugs. Without antibiotics there would be many more deaths. I think we just need to use only when needed and not every time with a little cold etc.

    I don't know.......I do think they're over used, BUT......

My kids may have DIED from some of the things they had when they were kids that required antibiotics.

And I sure wouldn't want to lack for anything that would cure plague, staph, strep (like the scarlet fever I had when I was a kid), a host of STD's that are bacterial, lockjaw, gangrene (like my great grandfather died from on the farm), typhoid, salmonella, dysentery, bacterial meningitis, TB (which I contracted from a patient of mine and would probably be DEAD without a year of treatment), botulism, leprosy, and I could go on and on.

These diseases used to be rampant, and kill of half of many people's families. I for one am glad for antibiotics. I just wish people would use them more judiciously.

Misuse and overuse is certainly a problem. People need to realize that antibiotics are useless against viruses. Not every cold or sore throat is bacterial. There are a lot of people who take left over antibiotics and treat themselves or do not take entire course as prescribed, thus the next time you get an infection your body may have built up a resistance due to prior antibiotic misuse resulting in the need to go to a different antibiotic to fight it off. Finish your entire prescription. Do not take antibiotic use lightly and take one only after Dr. prescribes. Unless you have fever, greenish drainage, ect., do not use for common cold. Frequent hand washing is the most effective way to prevent infections. Stay healthy everyone!

I've always thought that anti-biotics were over used. I rarely gave them to my kids when they were growing up and now as adults they rarely get sick. If they do get sick, they aren't sick for as long as some of their friends and other young people seem to be.
