Blargh - I need a hug!
Or maybe just some good wishes, since I'm probably contagious.
First time in like 6 years I'm sick. And I MEAN SICK. Don't know if it's flu or strep throat, but I've got hot flashes, chills, headache, sinusy blah and even swallowing my own saliva feels like I'm gargling broken glass.
And of course, crappy company I work for doesn't have sick days or insurance, so I'm sitting here at my desk feeling just AWFUL. Seriously contemplating going into the conference room at lunch and lying down on the floor.
Blarggh.

I'm so sorry you are feeling terrible and, even worse, you're at work. I do have some advise for the sore throat. Gurgle warm salt water. I don't know why it works but it does. I hope you get a nice long, recovering rest over the weekend!

That's terrible. They made you come to work like that.
I'm so sorry. Feel better soon.

The salt water will help (several times per day) and then take a spoon full of honey a few times a day as well. These 2 things kept me from having to see the dr. when I had it about a month ago. (oh and rest every second you can......drink lots of fluids too, take vitamin C
oh, I forgot I'm not your mother.....
).

HAHAHAHAHA @ P'Rose!
I second the drink plenty of fluids...by plenty, I mean more then your bladder can hold so that you're over drinking (fluids not booze lol). Hot things w/lots of sugar and/or honey work well b/c the hot soothes and the sugar coats and well just tastes good. Salt water kills germs. I used to get sore throats like this all year long - air vent was right on top of my desk. I used to keep salt and listerine in my drawers to keep my throat free of germs and I always have drank too much water/day
so I had no probs there. Hot tea and water were my faves.
I hope you get well soon. *hugs*2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Hope you are feeling better really soon. DH who never gets sick had the same symptoms earlier in the week. One really awful day, then he started feeling much better. Hope you do too.
