I glad you are getting some medicine, and I also agree it was probably the anesthesia. Hope you feel better real soon!

Me too! I also started seeing really weird things. Freaked my mother out big time.

YES!!! I had 32 pulled at once... and they even drilled down my jawbone (bi-lateral alveoplasty).

I had dumping syndrome (fancy word for involuntary bulemia -- which is kind of ironic... I have bulemia... and I am still overweight!) before the surgery too, so I was use to it... but the first time I did it with a mouthful of stitches... I thought my gums were on fire!!!!

Vicodin can do a number on your tummy, doesn't matter what you put it in, if it's empty it will hurt... if it's full, you just fueled the dumping

After I got all of mine out, the biggest challange was keeping the stitches from getting too dry. Dry stitches shrink... Shrunken stitches pull.... Pulled stitches hurt like crazy!

Hang in there Heather, we're all pulling for you (no pun intended... okay, maybe just a lil)

I love anti-nausea meds!! After I took just one, the nausea was gone & it knocked me out all night.

This morning, I'm feeling pretty good. although I look like a chipmunk I took extra strength tylenol, mostly for the discomfort of the swelling. Other than that I have no pain. The bleeding is gone, I can even put my teeth together My throat is still a little sore, it hurts to smile, laugh, yawn, etc. But other than that, I feel 100% better.

Had I not gotten nauseous & thrown up, I think this would have been a breeze. Definitely throwing up and the sea-sick feeling were the worst!

I can relate to the throwing up.
Had everyone of my teeth out at 18.
Came out of it throwing up.
They couldn't give me anything for the pain or to stop the bleeding because of my heart condititon
had a heart specialist with me all through the operation and then he sat by my bed for 5 hours afterwards.
Had a mouth full of gauze for 2 days.
    Glad your feeling better Heather

Glad you are feeling better, DD#2 went thru the same thing..they actually pushed her out of the office puking and never called to check up on her, however DD#1 we changed dr.'s for her teeth removal and it was totally different, nausea meds prescribed prior to the appt. etc., anyway, did you have anesthetics??? You may be sick from it, and if so, you really should get the name of the drugs they used for future reference.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and more properly medicated.

I woke up during my wisdom teeth extraction which surprised the heck out of the dentist.

Are you able to sip on icy drinks? They will help reduce the pain and swelling as well as moisten your throat.

    Recover quickly.

Oh my gosh, you poor thing!!

Vicodin for your wisdom teeth being pulled??? When I had mine done, all 4 at once b/c I knew I would never subject myself to something like that even though I'd never gone trough it before. The most I was allowed to take was Tylenol extra strength for the pain and only 2 at that.

Sip on ice water to feel 'refreshed' and sip on cool brewed tea as well as juice to get some form of nutrients & energy into your body - but not through a straw!

I hope you feel better soon!
