Oops!...I didn't mean to post here. It was supposed to be the 2010 LAPAW. I'll paste it over there.

I promised to join the lose a pound deal on the 1St, no way get rid of this snow and I'll get on the band wagong, best part is as bound up in side with this crazy weather I haven't gained a pound. So as soon as it melts which is supposed to be this week will start weighing then. Too hard when it's below zero and feets of snow outside.

Pound-a-Week Challenge!
Group workout = greater chance of success. It's the commitment thing - more likely to do something for someone else before ourselves. My frugal solution: starting a "co-op" fitness group. I e-mailed a handful of friends (other busy moms with similar schedules) and offered to lead a body sculpting class in my home - FREE OF CHARGE! Only two accepted, but we've been working out twice a week for 3 months now! Strength training=weight loss. We each do a little cardio on our own but once the weather breaks, we'll probably begin riding our bikes around town together too. Our "class" is simple using bands & hand weights. The interenet (and any old fitness magazines) are loaded with simple exercises that anyone can do. We're all in our late 40's and have no problem with this workout. Not quite losing 1 pound/wk but we're getting FIRM and looking & feeling great! Keep up the great work everyone!
