What version will you be reading?

I will be reading my new Bible, a chapter-less, verse-less, standard book formatted TNIV.

Are you using a reading plan?

The simplest reading plan there is; I just divided the number of pages by the number of days I wanted to read. I'm trying for 180 days again and my Bible is about 1800 pages. So I'm aiming for 10 pages a day. ~

OK...I am in. This is something I really WANT to do. I started a couple of weeks ago and let the Christmas rush get the best of me. Oh Well. I think I am going to purchase a study bible for women and use that. I will check back here and let you know. It would be really cool if some of us could read along the same things and discuss as we go!!

    I'm in!
I'll read the NIV Bible, but I like to go to Biblegateway.com and read different translations, too.
I follow a plan our church uses, it's read the Bible in a year. We read from both the Old and New Testaments everyday.

Count me in. I'm not sure how long it will take since I have not done the math, but I will be reading King James Version. I will read 3 chapters a day. I read 3 chapters for the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Count me in! I really need to get focused again and feel a bit more grounded. I've been thinking about this on my own, but I think joining the challenge will help me stay focused on it.

Not sure yet if I'm going to stick with my Good News version or borrow my daughter's copy of The Message. I'll decide and then post.

I want in! I don't know how long it will take me either! I will be reading the NIV. I have never read the bible all the way through just a few parts here and there, so this will be a good experience for me!

I am in also! There is a bible upstairs with large print I will read that one, It is a special edition for our 200th birthday of the US, only 843 pages so I will go for 4 pages a night.
I have been wanting to do this ever since I picked up a book at our church and read it while the kids were in vaction bible school as I waited, It was about the man growing up feeling he had a purpose and then he became choosen to carry the cross for Jesus when he was hung.

ok I will try too. I have never read the entire Bible either. That is quite a shame since I have been in church since I was about two weeks old and currently work in the church.

I will use the NIV and follow a schedule put out by the local Christian radio. It consists of OT and NT readings each day.

I only looked in here because I wondered why a bible challenge was under the health challenge forum. Should this thread be moved to something more... topically appropriate?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
