Hi, cmr3399 and danni! Welcome to the "2010 Lose-A-Pound-A-Week" thread. This is a great place to hang out!
One good way to hold yourself accountable is to start posting everything you eat every day. Of course, some days will be good and some days will be bad, but...trust me...it will make you feel accountable.
Also, to see your progress and have something to look back on, try weighing yourself once a week at the same time of the day. (For myself, that day is Monday morning, immediately after I wake up in the morning, after I undress myself, after I use the facilities and before I wash my hands.)
We're all here for each other!
Don't ever give up hope!
An obstacle is what comes up when you lose sight of your goal.

So glad that QM is effusively greeting our newbies to this thread!!

For lunch I had 1 cup hummus with 8 Triscuts and 1 slice of ham.
Water is a challenge today - I am only up to 36 oz. so far and it's 3PM. Shall keep on Chugging!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Hi everyone! I would love to join this challenge. A few months ago I joined Weight Watchers, but have not lost anything due to the holidays. I'm going back next week when the kids are back in school. Also, a friend has convinced me to train for a 5k and a 10k. So I have some extra accountability there.
I'll start posting my food intake in the AM.

We're a very chit-chatty group (if you haven't noticed already). Feel free to jump in any time you want.
I noticed that your mood is 'worried', MM. What are you worried about? An obstacle is what comes up when you lose sight of your goal.

Welcome, angeljzmom & hollyhill!
I'm glad you joined us!
I started to get my good ole' nachos & salsa craving this evening. Instead I decided to have another of my large fruit smoothies that I had made earlier today. Shortly after I ate it, DH and I decided to watch a movie at which time he ate potato chips! Instead I focused all my attention to drinking lots of water. I didn't succumb to even one chip. Yay!An obstacle is what comes up when you lose sight of your goal.

What's a philly cheesecake sandwich?
I love cheesecake..... and CHOCOLATE! Esp. together... ugh.
Trying to lose weight is a huge deal for me in this home. I have three athletes ( two teens and a husband) in this house who need LOTS of carbs, and one child with Type 1 diabetes that needs to count carbs. All my children are fit and thin and so is my husband, and me....? Well I love to cook.
So I need to find a diet that allows me to meet all my families nutritional needs, that is inexpensive and doesn't require me to cook 3 different meals! Hmmmm...
Also, any ideas for good low carb snacks beside veggies?

Hollyhill, I like mushrooms, because they have equal amounts of carb and protein.
