GAPeach - think it's better if you just take care of your knee and not worry about exercising!!
I did 60 minutes at Physical Therapy yesterday. Today I walked and walked around at school and my legs certainly feel it - am going to count it as my exercise for today.
Tomorrow I'm going to be helping with the decluttering and painting our LR.....then I'll end the day with 60 minutes of physical therapy!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

60 min pysical therapy this afternoon.
Five hours of running up and down stairs, standing, painting, etc. I can feel it all over my body!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I started a week or two into January, and I keep a spreadsheet of what I do. I try to run (well, so far it's mostly walking, but I'm working more and more running into it) 3-4 days a week and I do situps and pushups in the off days.
When I started, I couldn't do any situps and only 3 pushups. Today I set a personal best with 50 pushups and 40 situps total, including a set of 25 pushups that left my arms burning but still felt so good

I started PT for my hip replacement on Thursday. I am doing exactly what they told me to do. No more, no less. (they said I need to be careful to not do too much too soon, since, well, I am already doing that - I feel great!! no pain - first time in 20 years - it's truly amazing!!).
Anyway, PT for me for a few weeks. And walking too - my doc wants me to work on a "long stride", again, something I haven't had in years!

I danced from 11 pm to 2 am this morning! One of the girls we dance with was wearing a heart rate monitor---she burned 800 calories!

Love dancing!! and it is such a terrific exercise!!
IntMom - you are doing so well and I am sooooo happy for you!!
I know that all the movement that I did yesterday was good for me - I have those great aches that means muscles are being used!! and no shoulder aches today!!
Going to ride my bike this afternoon - really want to make this a daily habit.

Today was 35 pushups and 30 situps and my arms and back were *screaming* the whole time. I think I pushed my self too hard two days ago with 50 and 40. But then again, pushing myself is what makes it easier next time
