In another thread, it was commented maybe everyone could share their rationale for certain foods to help "educate" others on your choices. I decided to do that here as well. Hope you don't mind

1/6/09
Today I did:
yoga dvd 12 min
20 min treadmill 2mph
15 min Sun walk with dog
25 ball crunches
15 wall pushups
Steps yesterday approx. 3000
(this is a guess, it got tripped and started over, I have 2640 today, so far)
The dvd is AM yoga, 12 minutes actual yoga, 5 min total meditation/breathing. For stretching and "peace/relaxation"
Will do another week after this of 20 min. then may try to kick it up to 25 min. Knees and hips won't let me go faster but hopefully I can build up to longer (goal is 30 min)
The crunches and wall push-ups are to strengthen my muscles without doing exercises that can injury me. The ball crunches prevents injuries to my back and neck and the wall push-ups to my shoulders and arms.
The sun walk is outdoors with the dog, not so much for "exercise" as the exposure to the sun, hense the name. I am prone to depression and insomnia so I do it to keep my "clock"running normally and prevent SAD in the winter. PLUS it is additional exercise and fresh air and sunshine for vit. I suck and have for the past two days! I will still make my goal of 30 min 3x/week, but I was hoping for more. But, I've also been at work until 7:30 two nights in a row..... Waking up early, I guess.

25 minutes of walking, 5 minutes of running/jogging. I just don't like to run/jog. Although I do like watching those calories count away. I will do more tomorrow morning. I realized that I just don't like getting out of my warm bed. Well, run a little on the treadmill & that'll warm me up!
