I came up about 3 hours short in December but I am very determined to make my goal on January.
My exercises will include Wii Fit Plus, yoga, walking and yard work.~

Okay I'm in again...hope to do better this time. Am converting a seldom used bedroom into a workout room. Dug my recumbent bike out of storage and am going this weekend to buy a treadmill. Hopefully I can exercise everyday but being realistic about it I won't set my goal quite so high as last month. Will try for 900 minutes instead of 1200.

Mahalo for starting us up Nuisance!!

My exercise goals for January include:

    1. Daily physical therapy exercises.
    2. Daily 10 min. stroll X 2.
    3. Stationary bicycle 15 minutes 5 times per week.

Since I have been having so much trouble using my bike, I have created a win/win situation for me. DH bought me the new Stephen King book "Under the Dome" yesterday 1072 pages!! The only time that I am going to let myself read this book is when I am riding my recumbent bike.

My fitness goals for January are:

    1) Find my TurboJam DVD that's got the 20 minute work out on it.
    2) Do TurboJam workout (or another from my collection - don't want to get burnt out on doing the same thing over and over!) 3x/week.
    3) This is my stretch target for January...walk the Mastiff at least three times a week. I'm not sure I can handle her by myself, so if it's too much for me physically we'll be hiring someone to walk her "starting to get chubby" butt. This is not a problem with the other dog because he does laps of the backyard at top speed...he looks like a rippling mass of muscle!

I created my monthly health documentation spread sheet (may be a little anal) - but it works for me.

After last year experimentation with different documentation - I found that what works best for me is to create a simple, yet comprehensive spread sheet for daily use - and then fill it out by hand.

Now I need to work on weekly meal plans!!

Ok, Count me in on this one too!!! I'm going to go lowball on this and shoot for 30 mins 3 times a week! I may do more, but for now, I don't want to over extend myself with all my other obligations! I have a gym membership, that I have been neglecting! So I'm going to take advantage of it!!! So that's a total of 360 mins for the month. Doesn't seem like much, but it's better than nothing!

mauimagic...Under the Dome is my treadmill book! I figure it will carry me through many, MANY weeks!

As for my fitness goals for January, I just don't know. I know I need one. I'm not overweight by any stretch of the imagination. However, to keep my diabetes and my asthma in check, exercise is tres important. I'd also like to tone up a bit.

However, every year, I set fitness goals, and every year, I don't fulfill them. I have to be to work by 7:15 am. I'm up at 5:45 to shower, have breakfast, and get everyone else ready to go. I already make lunches the night before and lay out kids clothes the night before. Still, that's how long it takes. I just can't get up earlier than 5:45. I just can't.

I get home from work by 4:30, and in February, I won't be getting home until 5:30, as we'll be in the midst of long play rehearsals. Then, I make dinner, eat dinner, give baths, read, and then the boys go to bed until 7:30, dd and I read together until 8:15, and then I'm too pooped to do much of anything else.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but I'm just stating the facts of my life as it stands today.

All of this being said, it really is a priority for me to exercise. So, I'm going to say that, to start, I'd like to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 days a week. Sounds small, but I figure if I can find this time, then perhaps I will be able to find more time as I go.

Dh has mentioned that he is going to trying to get fit in the new year, and if that happens, that will be really helpful for me, as it is always easier to do with someone.

I know I need to get up and start doing some type of exercise again. It has been a while for me and I feel it. I am tired a lot and I know that it has to do with no physical exercise and the stress I am under....working full-time, taking 6 college classes, and managing my household. It drains me quick, but I know that exercise would be beneficial, so somewhere in between everything I already do, I am going to try to find time to exercise at least 30 minutes a day, three times a week. That is better than nothing at all.

I like the Under the Dome biking idea.
Until I get mine from DD#1 next weekend I will use the book I'm reading now. " The Darkest Evening of the Year."
