Pam I just started the sugar habit after DD was born 24 years ago - before that I never craved sugar and hated chocolate. Now everything is messed up and has stayed that way. Let's work on this together!!

I'm afraid to measure myself. I'm actually waiting until the 15th to do a measuring session. I need DH or someone to help me. I haven't been doing well. The sugar craving for me comes from my meds. They set up real carb cravings. And this time of year is bad. I try to limit as much as possible, and use artificial or natural sweeteners if I need them. And I try to eat fruit when I first get the cravings. Sometimes that stops them...sometimes not. Apples and grapes are my favourites. Sometimes oranges.

I have not been getting enough exercise. Today I was fighting a cold bug of some sort and didn't get my exercise. I am trying to do at least 10 minutes a day of something...even if it's just walking around the house, up and down stairs...whatever...just 10 minutes non-stop with my heart rate elevated.

Peanut, sometimes when we are not feeling well it''s hard to do anything physical. As long as we are doing the best that we can everyday - we cannot ask anything more of ouselves!! And look at all the great things that you do!!

Keep working at it you can do it. We are here for you. Sounds like you are really trying and that is excellent. I haven't measured in quite a while. I guess I should. My meds are just about done. Yeah!! 2 more weeks of steroids and then I can go off of them unless I have an other episode with my eating. Weird allergies are causing some of my weight problems and now I am starting to lose because I know what I am allergic to. Almost to the 5 pound mark. Hopefully this week I'll make it. Hope everyone else is doing well. Blessings to all, Becky

    Well I finally measured myself!

    Waist: 38"
    Bust: 43"
    Hips: 46"
    Upper Arm: 13.5"
    Thigh: 24.5"
    Calf: 16"

    Weight: 182.2 lbs.
    Height: 5'1"

Now I can see exactly how chubby I am! Having said that, the measurements are either less than or the same as this spring. Mostly less than. So that is good. And my weight is finally going down again.

I find if I get in my exercise clothes first thing in the morning I'm more likely to exercise. I've done that for the past two days. Today I had an appointment first thing, so didn't do it. But I'm off now to change and work out!

Hello i am new to Frugal Village and I started the Lose a Lb a week challenge today so I will check my measurements weekly. Today I measured my waist and it is 36 inches. No wonder I have the muffin top hanging over my belly. LOLOLOL

I'll join this challenge too. I couldn't find the right kind of sewing ruler thingy, so I took a piece of thread, measured it around me, cut it where the ends joined and measured it with a ruler. I'm 33.5 inches around my waist. Do you measure it just under the belly button where the bulgey area is? I'm about 5'4-3/4" in height. I'd like to go down an inch or two to flatten my belly.

QM: I measure level with my belly button. I used to measure the narrowest part between my bust and my hips, but that has shifted upwards over the years. So now I measure level with the belly button.
