SS about the poor models. I, alas, did not outrun the Turtles till the last one was gone. Thankfully there were only five. I don't know...I'm having awful sugar/carb cravings right now. The weather grew colder today and overcast. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. Still, I AM in control...I think...

Maybe finding treats within your restrictions would help. Kristen’s Chewy Chocolate Cookies look crazy good. I'd eat them! Here's the link

Unfortunately I fell off the wagon today, too, and it's my birthday's fault. I got a birthday coupon for a free cream slush from Sonic. Never had one before and thought it was like frozen koolaide, but surprise! It was like a thick thick shake and oh so good. I had not had anything like that for so long. Hubby and I shared a small size. Then I was given a candy bar for my birthday: chocolate with hazelnuts (from Aldi's which has the best chocolate), and I ate it. I'm beginning to think the only thing I did right today was take my vitamins!!!

Oh. my. word. I weighed in today at 8 st 3 (115lbs) which was my target. I had went up to 8 st 7 yesterday! I didn't eat much yesterday and had a few drinks so I figure this 'weight loss' will be short lived and is most likely due to a wee bit of dehydration even though I feel fine. I have to say though, it is amazing to see the scales register that weight. It has been so long!

I'm going to aim to get down to just under 8 st (110lbs). Despite being only 5 ft when I get any smaller than that I start to look a bit gaunt and bony on top and yet still plenty ample on the bottom Plus, I won't be able to give blood if I get lower. I'm debating whether I should join a local gym or just use the weights we have in the house and start jogging?

Good morning losers! (Whoever though being told you are a loser would feel so darn good....)

Sleep did the body some good. I thought I would wake up famished, but I am not the least bit hungry at the moment. Drinking hot raspberry tea (no lemon- the lemon tree has been picked bare and it's time to get some more)...

Down 1/2 lb this morning. I am quite elated really. The wonderful curse starts next week, and usually for me the week before leads up to insane amounts of snacking and bloating....I am fighting tooth and nail to get thru this week unscathed.

Weigh in tomorrow I hope I can contribute another .4 lbs to make an even 4 lbs lost this week.

Sunday is going to be a tough day being Easter and all. Candy will be everywhere, food, snacks....ugh. Then after the day at my sisters the DH and I are going to a local casino to spend the night (FREE coupon for nights stay)....I always take snacks/drinks & b-fast for the room when we go to places like this. Hopefully only DH will be eating the snacks and I can stick to my soy milk.
Monday I want to get up and go for a long hike so that will help the cause (let's just hope the weather cooperates for this to happen)...

Well the plan for today is just tea, water & soy milk until I can't stand it any longer. Then it will be a veggie medley....I will try to do more of my Walk CD too.

Stay strong everyone and keep on inching towards the prize.

Thanks pollypurebred! That recipe is just what I need. I am not allowed xylitol for some reason, but I could just do a stevia replacement I'm hoping...or maybe some plumped and pureed dates. Haven't seen coconut sugar here, but then I haven't looked either. Will talk to my naturopath about it.

    Good morning!
The sugar from yesterday's birthday treats did a number on me. I have not eaten sugar for quite a while, and did not realize just what it does to the body. I had a tummy ache after eating that slush and chocolate, and I can only attribute it to the unexpected sugar. Anyway, it's a good motivation to stay away from the stuff. Does anyone else run into a problem like this?

    Breakfast: shake and coffee
    Lunch: Salad and soup
    Supper: Salmon, salad, zuchinni
    Snack: cheese

Exercise: Curves and moving boxes in the basement.

Great job, squidge and SLS!! Hugs to glory and peanut, sorry about the energy levels and sugar issues.

I can definitely attest that it's not sugar but fat/grease that really gets my tummy rumbling now. My body vehemently rejects it.

Crossing my fingers that the weigh-in in next 24 hours registers a loss to PM for the week.

You're welcome peanut. I've never heard of it either, so I looked it up. Here's what I found

Well I could have done better I tell ya...

Had a great morning & afternoon eating. Got begged to come in and work at the grocery today (I swear, it was like Black Friday in there- completely nuts all day long)...I sipped on a soymilk (b-fast and lunch) and that was it. I got home an hour ago and dove into the tortilla chips. (Now keep in mind that I fasted all day yesterday - 'cept for the handful of tort chips before bed) & today- well I guess I still fasted too.

So when I got home I wanted some tortilla chips. I was not famished or ravenous. I just wanted them. So I ate them. And not a bunch, probably only a real serving size. So there is no real damage done.

But I am now telling myself- you could have done better than that....
I am considering this my dinner now. And I won't eat again until tomorrow. A plate full of wonderful veggies would have been a much better choice.

Oh well...such is life. I have a very important weigh in tomorrow AM and I hope I make my 4 lb loss goal. Time will tell.

Good luck everyone on your weigh-ins in the morning. I hope everybody is able to post huge numbers!

Good luck on your weigh-in, SLS. I reported a .5 pound loss this week, not as good as I had hoped but it seems adding the new walking regimen is likely causing a bit of water retention in the mildly-sore joints. Was able to get in two shredding sessions this week, two brisk walks with my Mister, and expect to shred and/or walk again today. Next week is a new week! And our Florida vacation is only three weeks away so I'd really like to hit my first goal of 166 lbs. by then. I'm only 2.5 away so it is definitely within reach.

Good mornin' losers! Well it's official weigh-in day! ...and my battery in my scale is dead (no, this not an excuse.) I really wanted to see if I made goal, only needed .4 ounces for goodness sakes.

So anyway- I am going to have to go with Friday's weight. That means I can contribute 3.6 lbs to the cause. Anything I might (or might not have lost yesterday can go on next weeks tally)...

Good luck everyone with their numbers!!!

It's helpful to have a great motivator like a Florida vacation to push you along. I too am aiming for that mark. My Florida vaca is in 44 days. 7 lbs in 44 days - a must... anything more is icing on the cake- (I mean - a carrot stick)

thanks for the belated birthday greeting, but actually my birthday is not until Monday. I just like to celebrate it as much as I can!

Talking about motivations: my son is getting married next month, and I'd like to look good for the mother/son dance. And my 45th high school class reunion is this fall, and I'd like to look good. I only have 9 pounds to go to my goal, and I swear, these are the hardest 9 pounds to shed. I think my mind, emotions and body are all in cahoots against me!!!! And having a big family EAster celebration and all of my little birthday parties aren't helping!!! LOL!

    Anyway:
    Breakfast: shake and coffee
    Lunch: shake and salad
After Lunch: a birthday party.... not sure what I'll encounter
Supper: kinda depends on what I did at the party. I'm planning on salmon and salad.

Exercise: I'm off to Curves in a few minutes!!!

I don't have a loss to report this week, but will tally everyone's report tonight. It's looking good, so far!!!!!

    Happy Easter, ladies!!!
