Well here it is another year and I'll join in!! I think I have joined the last few years and keep conking out after a month or so. Haven't been to FV in awhil too, but wanted to try and lose the weight again and this is the no. 1 place I could think of to go and get surport...!!!

Offical weigh in was 162 on the 1st, doing a 48 hour drink to cleanse the body so been on that plus had a small lettuce salad last night, only felt hungry once yesterday for about 10 min. ...lots of water and plenty of trips to the restroom too lol

Well 159 this morning and more drinking....and going to do my squats while I brush my teeth too!!

Tommorrow I will start following the metabolism make over for 8 weeks and go from there.

Slap me silly if I bail out again.

I am also in the same spot as maui and forHisglory, I made it from mid Nov until yesterday morning without gaining any weight, didn't lose. But did not gain. I think that is the first for that in YEARS. My goal for this year is 50 lbs. would love to lose more than that, but I think that is a realistic goal.

Thanks There's so much to do (...and eat...) around the holidays, it can be really hard to fit in exercise time. Winter generally kills off any exercise programmes I have.

I've heard such great things about it. Anyone I know who has tried it has loved it. I reckon if I enjoy going, that's half the battle. Looking forward to getting started.

    RUN- little chickens....RUN

Got a big pot of veggie soup on the stove, new batch of stir fried veggies coming out of the pan (onions, grn/red peppers, y squash, zucchini, carrot & tomato, fresh garlic & pepper), and another big pan of cabbage & onions sauteed in basalmic vinegar cooling on the counter waiting to go in the fridge.

I am ARMED & READY for the big bad wolf to come knocking at my door!

Getting ready to hit the treadmill for my 100 calorie daily burn (see my goals in my siggy-breaking it down to at least 100 x-tra cals a day) and have 30 squats down already...

Have a GREAT day everyone!!!!! And BE STRONG!

After another perfect day of veggie eating yesterday the scale is punishing me with a .4 gain. I know, haha - .4.... But when you excitedly jump on the scale wanting to see DOWN .4 - not UP - it's crushing for the moment.

But, it IS disappointing to be seeing the numbers go down each day, eating like a champ & then one day - BAM- take that...numbers up.

    It's a hormonal fluctuation- I get that - I can still be SAD can't I?

It's just another day - not the end of the world- onward I go until tomorrow.

    Have a marvelous day everyone!!!

I haven't updated in a while. I wish I had better news to share. LOL

I was at 30 lbs lost back at the end of October/beginning of November. I weighed myself yesterday and gained back 3 pounds thanks to the glorious holiday season (Halloween through New Year's). Not a big deal, but I did not reach my weight loss goal by a long shot. Gabe has surgery this month and we will both be putting our best effort into the healthiest of eating.

Is it bad when you know you gained weight from candy canes? Sigh. I just love them and when I say love, I mean we buy BOXES of them during the holidays. I get shiny object syndrome and buy all different types, but only personally like the peppermint type.

Now after thinking about my candy cane consumption, I wonder if they're vegan. I had a split second thought when eating my first one (not just because of whether they're vegan or not, but because hello, it's candy) and continued to eat more and now after I've eaten all my body could stand (and because yeah that's right, all the peppermint ones are gone!), I think there's probably a conflict with the refined sugar, but not sure. I'm pathetic!

I am determined to buy new summer clothes. LOL And I'm more determined to educate myself more, so I am better informed on making the choices that are best for me.

Don't beat yourself up, Sara. It's so difficult to trace all the elements of your food. All you can do, like you say, is try and learn even more as you go along and do your best. Also, a 30lbs loss is brilliant.

I haven't weighed myself yet. Going to do so tomorrow and I'll try and eat sensibly today despite not having an awful lot of food choice. Had a sneaky takeaway yesterday and, as part of my rules, didn't eat it all simply because it was there - I stopped when I was full. Which was good...but then I couldn't sleep that night and ended up eating chocolates at about 4am though

Well usual rules apply tonight, but today is the first real attempt at losing some weight.
