Out gardening this morning for exercise...pulling weeds and shovelling excess tree seeds and debris off the alley by our garden.

Oh my gosh! Hugs to you and welcome back!! That sounds awfully painful and I'm glad they found nothing cancerous. Glad you're losing but sorry for the method - w.o.w. you are a trooper.
Peanut, I'm cheering for you to improve your health but take it a step at a time so you don't ache too bad. I had a nearly 6-week up-down struggle that lasted most of April thru our vacation return, May 6, so at least this month I have lost something, anything... finally. That was a long stretch trying to continue pushing through even though the losses didn't reflect my increasing efforts!!!06-01-2012, 10:09 AM #858

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.... I *might* be able to report something tomorrow if I can just stick to the regimen today! My Mister wants to go out to dinner and skip walking tonight but I am quite sure I am going to convince him that we MUST walk... Because if he won't go with me..... well then the new dog is going to get a nice workout and she won't say NO - LOL!!06-02-2012, 08:00 AM #859

Okay, everybody! I can't hide and avoid from this thread any longer. My weight has been slowly sneaking up at me, and I have to stop this cycle and bring it back to where I want it to be.
I stepped on the scale after my shower this morning (yes, I know it should have been before my shower but I forgot), and I weighed just over 141 lbs!! My goal is to be between 126 and 128, so I have well over 10 lbs to lose!
I lost over 30 lbs almost 3 years ago, and have done semi-okay keeping it down but this past year it's been creeping up...slowly but surely!
This is what I've eaten today...(gotta post it and stay accountable!)
Breakfast - approx. 1/2 cup of Rice Krispies cereal in approx. 1/2 cup of 1% milk and 2 mugs of black coffee
Morning Snack - 2 mugs of coffee with cream & sugar, 1/6 of a bran muffin and 1/2 a banana
Lunch - one small to medium-sized BBQ'ed chicken breast and about 10 to 12 asparagus spears
Afternoon Snack - an apple, a chunk of cheese, a glass of cold water with lemon and 2 glasses of water
Supper - two full BBQ'ed legs and a chunk of cheese and a glass of water
My plan is to have NOTHING else but water for the rest of the evening! If I start getting a painful, hungry stomach then I'll have an apple at some point. I'd rather have nothing else though.06-05-2012, 07:43 AM #866

You can do this, QM! Sounds familiar. Three years ago I lost 21 pounds.... fast forward to January of this year >> Yup, you guessed it, I gained all 21 back and had to work very hard starting all over again. I've learned a lot in this round and will try to better understand how to determine a maintenance plan that will WORK.
Stop the madness! I am cheering for you because it's tough realizing you're gaining back those jean sizes but I have faith you WILL stop it before it all creeps back! Taking off the blinders early to the "creepage" is a great First Step! (I was being ignorant.)06-05-2012, 11:51 AM #867
I went down about 4 lbs since yesterday morning!! Woohoo!! I still have 8 to 10 lbs to go so I still really need to focus.
So far today I've had...
Breakfast - 1 serving of Red River hot cereal (very, very healthy stuff...), 1-1/2 mugs of black coffee and water
Morning Snack - a small chunk of cheese, one banana and more water
As soon as I'm done this post, I'm going to make a nice, big salad for my lunch. I've also got to find my old, trusty smoothie recipe for an afternoon snack. Gotta get back into my old, healthy routine.
There is hope! When I hear the still, small voice whispering in my ear that I can't do it, I keep telling myself loudly in my head, "I CAN do it, and I'm GOING to do it!!"06-06-2012, 08:59 AM #868
I ate REALLY healthy for the rest of the day. Whenever I started to get hungry, I always made a good food choice! This morning I'm down just over 1/2 a pound. I see hope...I see light at the end of the tunnel! Already my shorts are feeling a little looser. I can't wait until I'm easily slipping into them.
This morning I had some more Red River hot cereal. Yesterday was the first time I've ever eaten it; both days I spooned a couple spoonfuls of vanilla yogurt on it. That gave it more flavour and made it more desirable!
Well, this morning I'm off to get my van's drive clean emissions test on it...plus there are a few things they need to check over. I've packed a healthy snack and lunch for the daycare kids and myself.
Have a good morning, all!06-06-2012, 01:07 PM #869

Good work, QM!
And I'm feeling positive I can add to our total loss count here by Saturday.....06-06-2012, 09:24 PM #870
I've only eaten VERY healthy ALL day! This is wearing on me! I want to dive into something bad!
I'm telling myself that if I want to eat, I can eat something healthy (like a few bites of yogurt or an apple or a chunk of cheese). But I don't want that!
I keep reminding myself of what it feels like and looks like to be my goal weight. It feels great! So onward I go...
