For HIS Glory- My dear, if I had a Hugs button, I would give you hugs, lots of them. I am so sorry that this was such a stressful trip for you. Sorry to hear about your mom being in the ER. I kind of worry about what will happen as hubbs and I reach the point that your parents are at. We are both VERY headstrong. In a way I feel for my kids when I get older.

QM- don't stress the placement of a new child with you. When the Lord has the right child, it will happen.

Madhen- see this is why I love this thread. You my dear are a very wise woman. You are right there are people that are dog people, cat people and the like, and then there are people that just don't do animals. My best friend is a non animal person. I love her dearly, she is a wonderful person, and she gets along great with my boys, but she just is not the kind to have furbabies in her own home. That is not a fault, and there is nothing wrong with it. It is just who she is. Love that song. Way to go on the run, and on the treadmill. I need to get my set back where it can be used again, when DS moved back in it got set out in hubbies shop, and it now has a bunch of stuff setting on it *grrr*

OM- ugh, Prayers for your hubby. Glad to hear that Grandma is doing and feeling better.

Madkat-so sorry for the stress that your DS is putting you through. I have to agree with FW2, and Madhen. Both are wonderful possible solutions for you. Or you could just lock him in his room with bread and water rations (j/k). This is why we all end up with grey hair *frowns* I love your blog, I don't follow it every day. But I usually check it out at least once on the weekends.

Tervs-yummm Latta anyday is a good day, my fav though is a frozen rasberry latte (with real rasberries) from a little coffee shop just down the road from where I work. Hope the headache goes away soon.

JanieD- hope that you are feeling better soon. Just personal opinion, but unless it is under warrenty, we never use the dealership on our cars, we have a mechanic that we use. He is much more appt to take care of what is actually wrong with the car(truck) and it usually costs us a lot less than anything that a dealership would charge us. Find one with references, and a great reputation though, if they don't have that I would be very leary of using them.

FW2-lol Mackey sounds like a trip. Love dogs with personalities. Just hate the days that I know within less than 30 mins that everything is going to annoy me. Stupid usually seems to abound on those days.

    A2M- hugs

MM-hugs, also hope that you are feeling better soon. Love the idea of finding one thing to like.

Here is hopeing that everyone is safe from all of the storms. Will see as I go through posts. I see we still don't have our hugs, way to go, and thank you buttons back.

Debbiecat- sounds like a fun time coming for you *frowns* NOT . lol but then again, I HATE snow too. Stay safe, and prayers that you don't/didn't lose power.

Dean-Hope the ice store by passes you, good news about the kids, bad news about the 3 hrs away, the good side is it is not 3 states away. going back to a previous post, love your idea of asking for fruit bearing bushes for different occasions. *grins*

Star-hope that you do well on all of your tests. Good luck on the tutoring.

    GA Peach- Hugs

Val- Hugs, sorry that the kids are driving you crazy, the only advise I can give you, is the rule in our house use to be that EVERYTHING had to be laid out, made, signed ect the night before. There was no giving me something 2 minutes before heading out the door in the morning. If so, they just got the look, and it didn't get done. Please go back to taking your meds, either that or do some very serious research on what natural items you can take, ie St. Johns Wort. I know is one, but there are others also.

Polly- wish you were closer, (grins) I have a machine that I would let you have, it is one that I seldom use, (like haven't used it in probably about 2 years.) and it isn't one of my antiques. So yeah, I would let you have it. But it is old, and HEAVY, no way would either of us be willing to pay the shipping on it.

M25RN-hugs, hope you have a good time in VA.

    NCgirl- hugs

Well between everything it has taken me about 4 hrs to go through the post. *sad* pretty sure that I have missed replying to alot. and some of my replies probably sound a little Huh. This place has been a mad house today, and have accomplished absolutely nothing. Need to get a bunch of stuff done here housework wise, and then have a bunch of stuff that I need to get done craft wise. Hubby is thinking about doing a booth at a spring festivile in on of the little neighboring towns. Which is in May. So if we do it, I will need to get my butt in gear and get some stuff done for it. Most of my stuff I have sold and not remade. So nothing is built up for it. We haven't done one in a couple of years.
I hope that everyone is doing well, and that all manage to stay out of Mother Natures way. She seems to be on quite the war path here the last couple of years. If I let it, that thought can take me to some very dark places

Thanks, Uniwolf. That is really nice of you to say. I AM getting "hooked" on the treadmill, and was considering going again today, but I am worried that I might push it too much and injure myself, so I am taking a day off.

lol Madhen, you are a trip, not only the concern of hurting yourself, but if you overdo it to start, you may burn yourself out and stop doing it altogether to

Hey! Fortunately the storms weren't bad here...just a little rain and I heard some thunder this morning before I got up. I've been busy all day cleaning in the kitchen, etc. I cleared out some things to go to ds20's friend for his kitchen and some things to take to GW. I've been in pajamas ALL day and been bebopping to the Monkees...lol. Gonna go take a bath now and put on clean 'jammies 'cause I have clean sheets on the bed.

On a down side, I broke a molar yesterday afternoon (my dentist's office is closed on Fridays so I couldn't call him). I never did get anything done about the tooth that I broke just above it last summer. Both have fillings that are about a hundred years old in them...well, not really, more like since I was a kid although the tooth that broke yesterday has a newer replacement filling in it. I have a very, very strong feeling that I'm going to have to have both capped...the one that broke yesterday broke kind of oddly. It's very sharp too and I'm trying not to eat on that side. I hope that I can get into the dentist's office on Monday or at least by Tuesday, but I'm not holding my breath. They are very busy! Also caps cost over $800 a piece so I'm freaking at the thought of that! The last time I got one I paid cash from working...now being unemployed it will have to come from our tax income which sucks! Why is it something always has to come around and take whatever extra money that you might come up with? Ugh! I also have to put the minivan in the shop and find out what kind of issue it has.

Anyway, gotta go bathe and do some relaxing for the evening. Dh and I watched "Doc Martin" episodes last night and that kept my mind off of unpleasant things. I like Martin Clunes...good actor.

    Take care all. BBL...

Glad to hear everyone came out ok w/ the storms.
Decided to take Mackeys cone off. It's been 9 days. He is doing well and in so much happier. Gotta call the vet Mon.
Ds was so sweet today. He mopped my hallway, kitchen and 1/2 bath w/ my new electric (used) wet vac. Later he brought me a pop. Should I be worried he did something wrong.lol Seriously,he has his moments.
Headed to Big Lots tomorrow for the 20% off.

    Hi all!

Don't have much time to respond but it sounds as if everyone survived the storms and didn't lose power. That is good to hear.

Dean - sounds like everyone has the move all planned well. Have fun dog sitting! What about the grandbabies?

OM - prayers will be said of course.

FW - re: ds....I'd be worried. naw....I am sure all is good. Glad Mackey is doing well!

Val - yay for jammie day!

MH - glad to hear you are taking care and not pushing too hard....especially with your back.

Madkat - re: ds's taxes- first time has to be mailed in....my Ds had to do that last year ....yes, Canadian taxes. Bake sales are so much fun...I hope you sell lots!

Uni - good to hear from you! Remember to take care of yourself too!

Oh'smom-thats a lot of loss and I am sorry to hear it. Ins. will rebuild and people will adjust but I am still sorry for the stress of it all. I hope you got some sleep last night. Although I would imagine -not.

Dean-I thought it was the grand baby too. Sorry I misunderstood.

Quiet here, lightly snowing. Ds still sleeping in,tired after geo-cashing at the park yesterday. I am glad he had fun but I worry as the huge woody park is all but deserted this time of year except for his friend and he.
Gotta hit the grocery and get essentials and i guess newspapers for coupons.
Mackey is doing well w/o the cone. He hasnt messed w/ his surgery and has been playing quietly w/ Yogi. They have missed ea. other so. Last night they sat sharing stuffies. Yogi must have brought him 5 or 6. Today is the last day of meds so we shall see..
    DebC-hey to you!

Thanks FW-if it was my grandsons moving, I'd probably stow away in the uhaul!!!!

Liam will be having his surgery on 4/13 in Pittsburgh. Perhaps that's where I confused everyone. Now we won't need to pay for a motel. We can all stay with dd.

Cloudy, cold and spitting snow here today. Will work on Rio's quilt, have Sunday dinner, watch the race and also have to make a funeral home visit. Our goddaughter's father (age 58) was killed in an auto accident on Friday night, just down the street from us. He lost control, hit a tree and was killed instantly. 3 children, 3 grandchildren. Too sad.

Morning all. Sorry I have been MIA. I tried a couple of times to post, then just never got to finish it. Wow, hugs and prayers to all affected by the storms. It's very lightly snowing here this morning, nothing like a lot of you have gotten.

Things are crazy here as always. Getting ready to head to church, then running over to my mom's for a bit. Then I have to come home and list, list, list. Things are going to be really tight here for a while. Gotta hunt up some extra cash.

Ugh, gotta dash, hugs and prayers to all!
