Hello to all.
I just had the best day ever.
I worked til 12:30-then 2 friends picked me up and we went to the senior Citizen Center and played Bingo. It was so much fun. You only pay .25 per card to play and get 1/2 of the take in. $6.00 per game if you win. But those folks were so cute and welcoming to us. The Bingo is open to the public and they ask you to bring a baked good for the intermission break. I can't wait to do it again. I only broke even, but the people were so wonderful. They really love all the new faces to visit with.
Gotta go play catch up on my housework now.

Dean-too fun,I think I'm jealous. So glad you had a grreat time.
Oh'smom-sorry your having a hard day. Would a short walk reset things? Hugs.
Went to dmoms and stole her away to lunch at my fav. chinese restaurant. She had never been to a Chinese restaurant or eaten real chinese food. Dad is so set in his patterns but mom will try new things. She has chinese chicken soup w/ the long noodles and egg foo young and chicken fried rice w/ chinese tea. lol she liked the tea! I got Ddad some almond cookies because he needs a bit or he will feel left out.
We did have a good time. She spilled everything and we laughed. The long noodles got her. It was funny.
I voiced some of the concerns of things w/ them living alone. She said that I would have to face that they wouldn't live much longer. And I said that I was more concerned w/ their comfort for the time they were here. Like volleyball. serving back and forth. But its out there.
Dr. office tomorrow-yuck.
BBL everyone take care.

The doctor's visit for folks went very well. He looked over our concerns before meeting with folks. He told them that they need to relax and let the kids help them out. And he told my Dad that he should NOT be driving. Period.
Interesting fact: When this doctor was young, he treated my grandparents. Now he treats my parents, and also me and my sisters. Anyway, he told my parents that he watched how they cared for their own parents, and now it is time for them let us take care of them. Very nice!
We were all a little nervous as to how the visit would go, but my folks seemed quite calm with his advice. They worship that doctor!!!
We sibs are working out a schedule for visiting, cleaning, etc., so that each of us commits about 4-5 hours a week. I think this will work very well, as we provide assisted living in their own home.Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!
MY BLOG: glorybug.wordpress.com
1. Keep on writing.
2. Get some balance in my life.
3. Lose weight. Hopefully 20# this year.
4. Continue to be looking for how God wants to use me this year.

Hi All!
I can't believe it has been days since I have popped in....wow, spring fever has really hit me this year!
Uni - prayers continue
OM - prayers for you too!
dean - sounds like a blast! I love spending time with the older folks...they are such a hoot!
FW - sounds like DD made some progress...baby steps.
to you for having to watch her suffer so.
MH - thanks for the link!
tervs - happy latte Tuesday!
Madkat - poor Thor. My cat does the same thing if given canned food.
fHg - sounds like a great doctor who will be a great help with your parents.
Janie, MM, Val, Gapeach, Polly, QM, A2M, and everyone else big hugs!
Thank you all for the continued prayers for Luke. He is slowly getting better. He sees the doctor on Thursday again and we will have to wait for the test results in case he needs another round of antibiotics. The biggest worry is he hasn't had the mumps and this infection could cause him to become sterile. NOT GOOD!
I have been spending all the days outside in this beautiful weather hence the reason I have not been stopping by as much. I have really been pushing Dh hard in getting projects done that have been put on the backburner for years...and he even seems to be enjoying it so I keep pushing.
By the time we eat dinner, I am beat and have just enough energy to pop in and post in the challenge sections and hit the bed.
I still haven't had a cigarette, have lost 49 pounds so far..the 50 is just out of my reach (do you know how elusive that ONE POUND has been!!!
) and have been wearing shorts for the last three days.
Have a great night everyone. Hugs to all, thoughts and prayers are with all of you.Dh Bob

Debbiecat-wowwoowoooow. 49# amazing. Sorry Ds is sick. I had something in college (measles/chicken pox) and we had the same worry. Hope all goes well. YOU deserve grand kids.
Thanks for the words on DD. It is tough on her. She isn't just being lazy. Hopefully she can get the new mattress she needs. More cleaning first though.
Mackey has been a spoiled rebellous poop w/ the weather being nice. He is bored and is pushing the other dogs and just breaking toys. It stinks I cant let him play outside. And am darn sick of walking him.
Well time for bed.
Madkat-I advise maybe forgetting the canned food. The quality isn't good. Tuna would be better and less fatty.

Good morning ladies! Another beautiful day here in Michigan. Supposed to be 80 today, it was yesterday as well. I love this weather, I got home from work yesterday and opened all my windows. Fresh air! I even slept with my windows open the last 2 nights! I had a fantastic sewing day with my friend on Monday. I love those days, we both got lots done, I put binding on a quilt to get it finished. So many more things I would like to work on.
A girlfriend is coming to visit this weekend, we are going to do some outlet mall shopping and movie watching! Looking forward to that, have to get my house in order though before she comes. Hard to do when the weather is nice.
You all make me smile when you mention my Latte Tuesdays! LOL Sigh, at work and the phones are a ringing today, I'm going to sign off for now. I hope everyone has a great day. Hugs and prayers to all!

Hey tervs-social butterfly much.lol Glad things are on the up.
And yes gorgeous weather! Now where did I put my shorts? Can't say I usually need them in March.
Finished w/ the Drs. will find out labs in a couple of days. Blood pressure decent but "found 10lbs." so dieting and walking it is!
Going to have open all the windows here to!
Hugs to all! BBL.

Hello to all! I am still reading your posts and sending good thoughts and hugs to all of you.
I've been in a bit of a funk and haven't been posting much.
FW, we do not keep any sweets in the house. No cookies, candy, donuts... and last night I had the biggest sweet tooth, so I ate two slices of toast with cinnamon/sugar mixture and two slices of toast with honey. I was ashamed and embarrassed that I ate that much, but this was a really bad sweet tooth and it wasn't satisfied with just a slice or two of toast.
Deb C, Still sending good thoughts for Luke. So hope, that the side effect they mention does not happen to Luke. You want lots of grandbabies.
OM, please do take care of yourself. Try and just rest these next few days.
Tervs, always thinking of you on Tuesday and knowing that because of that Latte that it will be a good day for you.
Janie, yes, I did get out the other day. I haven't been out today though.
MK, how is your dog Thor doing?
MH, How are all of your critters doing? I really must set aside sometime to look at your blog as I am sure that I will see all of your cute critters there. Good thing that dh and I love animals. I couldn't imagine life without them.
LTD, how is your husband recovering?
Dean, so glad that your day was special playing bingo with the seniors.
QM, we miss you.
Polly and all others thinking of you and wishing all of you a grand evening.

Just got back from the park w/ Yogi. Went to the State one because it's more isolated. He had a blast sucking up smells and sniffing everything. He even rode in the car well. Maybe he's improving. We got him a burger too. Hopefully he will learn to be calm.
A2M-I have eaten canned frosting and put choc. syrup on apples in a pinch. Sometimes ya just lose it.lol

Auntie2many....
my hubby went back to work March 5. A total of 19 days from day of surgery to back to work. He was very lucky it was a simple procedure, after all the stressing he done.
He has been doing a lot of yard work here. We got a good size raised bed in place now for flowers. I get to plant them after I figure out how to keep the chickens out of the fresh dirt.--------My signature--------
The economy is now uncharted waters... grab a oar and start rowing. ~~
Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.

LTD, so glad to hear of the quick recovery that your husband had. Now starts your busy season as you both like to garden... That is a lot of work. It also starts your canning season of the bountiful harvests. Good luck keeping the chickens out of the garden.
