madkat- if you color it or perm it you need to give it a major break .
my one sil had one and then did another at home and parts of her hair just broke off.
if not - ( or even if so you can try this )
aussie - moisturizing shampoo ( not too $ you can buy one with a pump top for ~ 7.99 around here and it lasts me a few months and i know quite a few of us use the shampoo - )
and aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner
although we use it daily i dont leave it on for 3 minutes but my younger dd has naturally curly hair and its the best thing we have found for her esp since we are both nautural blondes and often conditioners coat and darken the hair also . so it doesnt make our hair look darker but leaves it soft .
my hair has some curl - how much depends on the weather
i also let my hair airdry as much as possible i usually blow dry bangs no matter what and depending on time i may let some of the rest air dry and 90% of the time dd lets hers dry naturally.
anyway i love the aussie stuff not really $$ either*~Debbi~*

Oh M25RN, I totally forgot this! Dh has his doctor and nutritionist's appointments in Greenville tomorrow at the medical center and he wants me to go with him so if your dd was in BIG trouble I'd be over there. I could watch out for her if something happens. If you talk to her tell her to check out Chico's if she likes mexican food. They have the absolute best salsa I've ever had in my life! We'll probably eat there tomorrow. Dh and I love their Pollo Yucateco! It's to DIE for! Oh, and too bad that you aren't with her if it was under different circumstances 'cause you and I could meet up for lunch! I'm bummed that you aren't going to be over there too! LOL! It's probably the closest I'll ever get to meeting anyone on here.

FW - i have found that when men want a pity party thats going on far too long for being realistic i either just ignore it till they get past it - or if he is purposely trying to mae me miserabkle too am mean and if they are whining too much i just say wahh wahh . Or wow thats a sexy look ( sarcastically ) lol

I glanced over the posts. There were too many to catch up on, just that I got the impression that many prayers were needed, so I prayed for all on the SI thread and FV in general.

@ Val- this daughter would be the LAST one to take me somewhere with her LOL
madhen wanted to say that i agree that most companies are finding ways to nit pick people apart in reviews so that they feel scared for their jobs so will do extra for same money etc etc i had my review and got 3 ( middle of road) on things i dont even do because i am not FT - i told them that should just not be rated at all because if i have 4-5s on everything else that brings my #s down,*~Debbi~*

~I don't know how often you wash, but only a couple times a week will do the trick. Your scalp/hair will adjust after a few weeks. I have waist long, combination of fine wavy/straight coarse hair. I don't use products or stylers and generally keep it braided in the winter. I never need to use conditioners anymore.
The winter humidity level is probably the real issue right now though. When my house humidity drops below 40% I can feel my whole body starting to mummify. If you're getting a lot of static with your hair or in your house, the humidity is too low and that will affect your hair.~
~Yay, that's great! Hope you have an awesome evening hearing all the great comments about your mom's work!~
~Well ladies, I'm going to get all spiritual on you for a minute, but I had an awesome experience last night. As I mentioned here, I was feeling very nervous about DH leaving. When he came home and said he was nervous about going I started to panic. He's never nervous about anything. I started to work myself up thinking it may be a "bad feeling" about the trip and that he should not go. Anyway, by the time I crawled into bed to say my prayers, I was in full panic mode: chest hurting, breathing hard, sweating. Now, 100% of the time when I pray for God to calm my spirit and give me the peace and faith I need to get through something , He does. But it's always been a gradual calming over days or a series of comforting thoughts and new ways to think about things that gets me back into focus. Well last night I experienced and instant, physical/emotional/mental unburdening and peace as I prayed. God assured me that He has plans for us. Everything would work out since He is working things for us. It was almost like someone woke me up from a dream because I couldn't believe how upset I was only moments previously and wasn't exactly sure what had just happened. I've been a Christian since I was four years old and have never had reason to doubt my faith in God. And it's occurrences like last night that assure me that He is who He says He is. He wiped away weeks' worth of my building anxiety in one amazing moment.
I slept peacefully and didn't worry once today as DH was traveling. He arrived about an hour ago. <3~~Constance

Not too much going on around here the last few days. Raining all day long today. This is good, we haven't had hardly any since winter started.
Somehow I made some muscles in the middle of my back mad. I tried a hot shower and heating pad and it got worse. So I took an ibu and have a ice pack on it now and it seems a little better. Which means inflammation. DH gave me a gift cert. for an hour long massage last October for our anniversary so I made an appt. for tomorrow afternoon.
Probably make bacon and eggs for dinner. DH is getting a tattoo tonight and I think I'll go with him.

Hi all!!
FW - prayers for your Ds to arrive home safely after school.
OM - I hope you feel better soon!
M25 - so glad your DD made it safe and sound.
Val - too bad M25 didn't go with her DD! That would have been so cool to be able to meet up with her.
A2M - Hope all is well with you!
star - ouch, I hope your back feels better soon.
What kind of tattoo is your Dh getting?
Nuisance - What a wonderful experience...it is comforting to know you are on the right path. Glad your Dh made it safe!
Trying to de-stress today. Doing things to keep me busy...I have been really craving a cigarette but I have not and WILL NOT cave in....we don't have any anyway.
Dh ran out this afternoon and didn't pick any more up as he is going to try to quit as well. Now if I could just stop eating these nachos!

Val - Wanna trade weights?
I WISH I was 122 lbs!! How tall are you anyway?
Debbie - I agree with Madhen. Stay far away from the nachos. Next time don't buy any and they can't be a temptation. Great job for staying "cigarette-clean" for this long! How wonderful that you've inspired your DH to do the same!
Speaking of eating and weight...
...I stepped on the scale tonight (NOT a good idea), and I'm 14 lbs overweight!
After this post I'm going to start into a meal plan for tomorrow. I have to have a plan. I want these 14 lbs off by mid-March. 'Cause of all the salt and junk food I've had of recent, I could easily lose 2 lbs by Monday. So that'll be my goal!
Have a good night! I want to go to sleep early since it has been such a long and emotionally-exhausting day.
Hugs to all!

Debbie, DH is getting a koi fish. He got the outline done tonight and he'll get it colored in next week. So far it looks good. I'll try to remember to post a pic when its done. Great going on you and DH stopping smoking! My DH has been smoke-free for 12 years now.
