    Happy Birthday FW! Enjoy Don Pablos! I love their chicken taquitos!

    Went to the casino with my mom today, came back with more money than I went with! That's always a good thing! I'm exhausted now though, I'm going to go lay down for a bit. Been up since 5:30! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather! Hugs and prayers to all!

    Darn, posted from my iPhone and it didn't take.

    QM, glad you decided to keep on the parents until Sept. I thought, if I were them, I'd be pretty upset with a business that put the bottom line before customer loyalty.

    FW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

    I know....I know. It'd just so darn tempting to put the bottom line before customer loyalty...especially when I'm looking at the debt I'm trying to pay off.

    Thanks everyone. Don Pablos was pretty good. Got the tortilla soup,steak quesadilla and ate too much queso. Got a water instead of pop and only ate 2 of the steak quesidillas.
    Ds is not liking DD's BF.He made a dumb comment about Ds's driving. Ds did not like that at all! He was just saying typical teenage boy driving. He was a bit much at dinner but was just nervous and trying a bit too hard for approval I think. funny to think anyone would WANT to be in our family.
    We also got 2 Redbox movies. Nice birthday. Thanks so much for all the wishes.
    Dh and i were bad a snuck a Big Boy ice cream cake in the mix. Shh don't tell DD who made cupcakes.

    Morning ladies! Just sitting here this chilly morning with an english muffin and my coffee! Yum, coffee!

    FW - Gad you had a nice dinner. Ice cream cake is my favorite!

    QM - Good for you. Customer loyalty is important...

    Madhen - I might have done the same thing as you in the grocery, although I might have gone and talked to the manager first. I agree with you, if she had asked you, it would have been altogether different...

    oheoh - what a nice thing you did for that elderly lady...I hope you are taking care of yourself!

    Well, Detroit Edison came the other day and changed my meter. I guess having 4 months of 9.00 bills is enough! LOL I have some money set aside in case they charge me for back electricity, but I don't know how they would say how much I used. We shall see what my next bill brings... I have a few things to get done this morning before I go meet a friend for lunch! Have a great day everyone! Hugs and prayers to all!

    I took Angus, my little mutt, in for his first day of puppy training yesterday. He was with a purebred Eskie and a purebred miniature Schnauzer, so I hope he didn't have any self-esteem issues!!

    Good morning everyone!

    Happy Birthday to Deb-cat and FW!

    Oheoh--hope you're feeling better!

    Madhen--your Angus will probably end up being the leader of the pack!

    QM--I think everything happens for a reason. It didn't work out with this family, so something better can come along!

    Vanilla--lots of us are trying to improve our health, so you've got lots of support here! What do you use for tracking? The website I use, I'm not allowed to say here, but it's for People who like to Spark. I track food, exercise & weight on it.

    Val--how was 'The Grey'? I love Liam Neeson, too! It sounds weird, but in the movie 'Taken' when he's talking to the guy on the phone about his 'skills', it makes me melt into a puddle on the floor!

    Hugs and waves to everyone else!

    So I think I'm creating a monster here, learning how to knit! I spent the whole morning looking at patterns online! I printed off a couple of easy dishcloths, and I'll try them out today. Again, this might sound weird (probably because I am weird, LOL), but the whole reason I wanted to learn how to knit, was so I can make myself a Harry Potter Gryffindor scarf!

    Yesterday, I jumped on the treadmill and walked 4 miles! I have it in the basement, and watch shows that I've PVR'd while I'm walking. It makes the time go by very quickly! I've been watching 'Princess' with Gail Vaz-Oxlade. I can't believe some of those women on that show, and their sense of entitlement! I've also got tons of 'The Big Bang Theory' on there as well, but I'm not sure laughing and walking go together well!

    I talked to DH already this morning, but he had to run off for a meeting. Hopefully he'll be able to talk a little later. The first week of him being gone has passed really quick, which is always good! This week should be fast, too. We have to run the canteen at a basketball tournament at DD's school on Friday and Saturday. It's a fundraiser for her trip to Quebec in June. I have to make cookies to sell. I think I'll make 3 kinds, chocolate chip, ginger snaps, and sugar cookies. I need to find a bigger heart-shaped cookie cutter, though. I thought I'd make Valentine ones, since it's almost Valentine's Day.

    OK, ladies, have a great day!
    ~Tracy~

    Met up w/ Tervs this afternoon and it was fun. So cool to finally meet an Fver in real life. She brought me some beautiful embroidered dish towels for my birthday. What an awesome suprise.
    Stopped at the bread store on the way home and filled a cart for about $13.
    Got some newspapers for the coupons and will sort those while I watch a movie w/ DH.BBL.

    Maui, I'm hoping the docs have the cure for what ails you. Get better soon! We need a happy and healthy Mauimagic.

    DH's car broke down today We knew it needed to go to the shop for a few weeks but you know how it is. He works full-time and its hard for him to squeeze it in. (he was actually planning on taking it to the shop tomorrow) He was at a friend's house 20 minutes away and went to leave when he realized it would be a bad idea to drive it anymore. He's having AAA tow it home, our friend is lending us his truck, and DH will deal with getting it to a shop tomorrow. I'm just glad he was at our friends house and not stuck out on the highway.

    Broken down cars is contagious on our street right now. Our neighbor across the street has two that completely broke down within a week and a half of each other. One transmission, one head gasket - and their other two are running but need work (they have driving teens) Now our joke is don't park on our street, your car will break down LOL.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference
