I can't remember when I went to the gym since the last time I posted. This is crazy, but there's been too much going on and I can't keep the days straight. I know I went, but can't remember what day. Definitely not over the weekend, but I did walk the trail while the kids skated and rode bikes both days of the weekend. Today I walked 2 miles in the hot sun during the Memorial Day parade. It was way too hot to be walking around. ugh.

You got that right! It was HOT HOT HOT out on the hiking trails this morning even as early as 8:30am. We went Sunday morning with friends and hiked hills for an hour. Went out again this morning for another 3 miles - the bugs and heat were very bad so we went slower than usual but still got out there anywhere but the couch is going in the right direction!

Two weeks ago, DS#3 was a very bad car accident where he fractured his lower vertebrae and one of his friends passed away instantly. It took a toll on all of and I put off exercising until Sunday. I finally got back up and decided I needed to do something for myself. I ran/walked for an hour on Sunday, Monday and tonight. I skipped Tuesday. I realized while running that I could focus on me and it made me feel better. And my DS#3 is my inspiration. He tossed his walker aside, began walking on his own within a few days of the accident and is now jogging. If he can get up and jog, I have no excuse as to why I can't get up and do something.

I haven't been doing well on this challenge since June. I only walked a little over 30 miles in June, and so far only 12 miles in July. I don't even remember the last time I did the 30 day Shred (I love it so much (NOT)). I have been doing a lot of physical work outside, but I can tell I've lost some of the strength and endurance I had. I'm going to post once a week here; maybe that will give me a little incentive to get out and walk.
