Aloha everyone!1 I just reread all the posts here to get a feel for where we all are and just had (you know me - to make one observation - it's all a process - closer approximation of what we want our behavior to be ------- I use this all the time in explaining to the adults where we are with the childrens behaviors - any little change or progress can and should be celebrated!! Same for us!!

Imagine this - I actually found some chocolate at home - thank goodness it was only one piece because I did indeed savor every little bite. So I've noticed that in the past few days, I am working more on portion control and being conscious when I am eating. Could be considered the queen of nothink eating, but do not wwant this title for sure.

Most of the current exercising is revolving around the tendonitis in my left wrist and my left trigger thumb.

Am meeting my daily goal of 64 oz. of water and really need to stay on top of that!!

My friends, celebrate everything that you do to support your better health and may the list grow longer each day!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Polly, hope you get your health back soon. Looks like everyone is off to a great start.

My DD brings home some peanut butter fudge that she got from her boyfriends house. Ugh, you know what I did. I told her to hide that stuff and I don't want to see it again. LOL

Blah, I feel like I got a cold or some bug. My head is all stuffy and achy. So I didn't workout. But heh, if vacuuming counts than I did exercise today. LOL

Palooka, sorry that you are coming down sick. Yes,vacuuming counts as exercise.

MM, I can everyday celebrate that I always get my water requirements for the day in. Even if my eating is not always where I want it to be. Thanks for pointing out that we should celebrate each and everything even if it is small.

Hope all are doing well today!

I have had another good day so far.

My regular lo-carb breakfast of 2 eggs scrambled with
1tble onions, slice lowfat pepper jack cheese and half a grapefruit.

    Lunch was a Subway club .. a tasty 310 calories , yum!

Did my treadmill, ball crunches, and wall pushups. I need to find my pedometer so I can count steps.

Dinner is lo cashew chicken, fried rice, and hot and sour soup.

Also worked a lot of my devotions/church in so I am feeling really good today.

That certainly sounds like a challenge. I'm glad so many of you agree about how sweat-inducing housework can be.

Polly and Palooka I hope you guys feel better soon It's not easy to take care of yourself at the best of times and being under the weather certainly doesn't help any.

I am a complete disaster - my food choices have been awful and I've been avoiding the scales like the plague BUT I did drink about a litre of water today and I had a multi-vitamin this morning. Plus I had my usual thirty minute walk (I can't get to and from work without it, but I'm damn well counting it!).

well, all in all, I did much better today, and my tummy is thanking me for it. dinner was stroganoff with the sauce from scratch. as a snack I had homemade crumb cake. better than doritos, and frozen pizza for sure!

I think I'll join this challenge. Let's see...for breakfast I had Chik-Fil-A chicken minis with hash rounds and a cup of coffee with splenda and 1/2 and 1/2. For lunch I had a piece of string cheese and a half a cup of coffee with spenda and 1/2 and 1/2. Supper was homemade chili (about half a cup)over jasmine rice (3/4 cup appr.)with broccoli-n-cheese (about 1/2 cup). Oh, and a few tortilla chips and then I finally ate the chocolate mint candy cane that ds10 gave me. Not really a good start for me, but that's where I'm at today. I've had water too, but didn't measure. Tomorrow I'll be eating lean 'cause I'm going to weigh. I lost two pounds over Christmas break so I'm down to 123.

    Howdie Val.

I feel so much better today. I sucked down lots of vitamin C and got plenty of sleep. Even ran on the treadmill. I've had salads twice today. I need to go to Costco soon and pick up some more Romaine. I've been on a kick of eating a head a day.

Everything in moderation is the key! You CANNOT totally deny yourself the things you love, but you can eat them in small portions, not as often, etc. It works for me!

    Good Luck!

Wow! Everybody is doing a great job with health improvements. This morning, I completed my fourth workout this week with Leslie Sansone. I have a loooong way to go before I am at my goal weight again, and I'm trying to be patient. Coming here and reading all of your posts definitely helps!

Keep us the good work ladies!

well, I guess I need to get some of the junk out. after lunch, which was a salad of lettuce, tomato, carrots, cheese, sesame seeds and cranberries. it was good, but I was hungry around 2. so.... instead of making myself something, or eating popcorn, or even the crumb cake I made, I had doritos. now, I know that my homemade cake was probably healthier than doritoes. but I ate them anyway. ugh. I can't keep junk in my house and not eventually eat it.

So I made crackers to have on hand (I can't have the commercial ones, I REALLY shouldn't have eaten those doritos, but I felt so deprived after the salad.) ugh. LOL so hopefully I will choose those, or the popcorn, or some other home made thing rather than the commercial stuff.

On top of trying to eat more fruits and veggies, healthier eating for me involves leaving all soy behind, including soy found in veggie oils. look at packages, it's in everything. my stomach feels SO much better if I am not eating these things, but I slip up so often.

Breakfast was healthy. Oatmeal. Lunch was two pieces of mozzarella string cheese and a cup of noodles. Not too healthy, but there are two more cup of noodles in the pantry and I do not want to throw them away, so when they are finished, I will not buy anymore.
