Well we've been in NS a few days. The last night in PEI was a mussel feed. As per usual, a very heavy late night supper. We were somewhat glad to get away and back to normal eating patterns. We didn't eat hardly anything the day we left DSIS#3's place, though I do recollect a small ice-cream cone after supper.

We went for a walk afterwards to take photos of Sheet Harbour. We also had a walk in downtown Antigonish, and a tour of their new library.

The next day we had breakfast at the B&B - omelet, 1 slice wg toast, jam, fruit, bacon. Lunch was half a tuna sandwich at DD#2's and some salad. Supper was a calorie laden meal deal in Liverpool. Deep fried scallops and clams with chips and salad. We skipped dessert.

We spent a lot of Saturday on our feet walking places. Liverpool is a small town and we were situated very close to Privateer Days venues. Plus DH and I decided to walk part of the town in the early hours of the morning.

Breakfast was 1 slice wg toast, with pb and jam, a fruit cup, yogurt that came with honey. Not very healthy. Too much sugar. I skipped lunch. Had a spinach salad in the afternoon with DH. It came with a biscuit. I think lunch was actually food we had in the room...can't remember what though... Supper was half a meatball sub on 9 grain bun at Subway.

Sunday I got out walking again. I decided to eat even lighter. I had my favorite Fibre1, multigrain Cheerios, blueberries and Rice Dream for breakfast. Lunch was in Lunenburg and was an apple and pretzels. Supper was at a relative's place and was a calorie blowout of BBQ hamburgers, smokies, broccoli salad, bean salad, wg buns, condiments, and a fruit pavlova to die for! With some kind of white sauce. Wonderful!

For exercise? Walking the Privateer Days venues in the morning. Wandering the hills of Lunenburg at lunchtime. And walking up the hill a fair distance to see my cousin's cattle and horse. I'm guessing easily 5 km.

Today I had Fibre1, multigrain Cheerios, blueberries, and Rice dream for breakfast. Lunch was at Peggy's Cove. I had deep fried fish and a tossed salad. It also came with coleslaw. I also ate half a large bag of Covered Bridge potato chips!! Supper was a Chinese buffet. I limited myself to Wonton soup, nothing deep fried, and only a small plate of dessert, with half of it fruit salad.

DH and I climbed rocks and walked Peggy's Cove. We also put in half an hour on the treadmills at the hotel when we got back.

I have no idea how much I weigh right now, but I sure have slimmed down! It will be interesting to get on the scale when I get home again. Right now I think I'll take a break tomorrow from the heavy eating. And make more use of the hotel exercise room, or walk more around town.

Meals haven't been good the last few days. Too many big breakfasts/restaurant meals. Very good food and a lot of it. Yesterday we were in the Valley. I had poached egg, 2 slices whole wheat toast, hm jam, butter, 2 strawberries, tea, milk and twin for breakfast.

Lunch was a seafood chowder, whole wheat bun, butter, cranberry orange scone, 500 ml. of apple cider.

Snacks were mixed nuts, chocolate macaroons, and more cranberry orange scone.

Supper was a Chicken Spinach Strawberry salad at Eastside Marios, and Chocolate Vesuvius for dessert! It came with ice-cream and boy did I feel that afterwards! One thing I find I can't tolerate now I'm lactose intolerant is ice-cream.

We did get out for some walking yesterday morning, but that was about it. We need to do more.

We can now we're back in Halifax and our hotel has a fitness room.

DH and I have made use of the fitness room at the hotel. We've also been walking halifax a lot...which is quite hilly.

Unfortunately we have been eating well too. We eat breakfast at the hotel. Yesterday I had my own breakie of fibre1, multigrain cheerios, fruit, and rice dream. But I'm out of rice dream and so this morning it will be the hotel breakie.

We had lunch at Salty's on Friday. I had Fish 'n Chips. Then supper was at Eastside Mario's. I had a Strawberry Spinach salad with chicken breast...and a Chocolate Vesuvius for dessert. Should have skipped dessert.

Yesterday lunch we had a Strawberry Spinach salad (hm) and some Digby scallops. And for supper we had Boston Pizza. I had a thin crust pepperoni, feta, sundried tomato pizza, a few pineapple mango chicken wings, and NY cheesecake with raspberry sauce on it. Too much! I'll have to go lighter today.

Sorry folks. Got off track. Meals were still pretty good. Didn't lose or gain anything on vacation. I've seen a dietitian since coming home. She has me on a special meal plan. Still not losing any weight. But there's too much dairy in the plan and it's killing me. Yogurt or not, 2 servings a day is just too much! I can't eat that much! I'm cutting the servings in half, and skipping the dairy a lot. My system can't take it.

I am also trying to keep up with the exercise I got on vacation. so far so good. I've been able to do 30 minute walks every day. We'll see what happens this winter though.
