My diet and exercise log...
I sorely need this accountability. Hold me to it ladies! I weigh 167 lbs. and need to go down to 137.
Breakfast: 1 'naturegg' egg (egg substitute) and 1 slice flax bread with 1 tsp. olive oil/butter blend and 1 tbsp. natural peanut butter. Water, vitamins and medicine.
Lunch: 1 pita salmon sandwich with fat-free mayo, green onions and lettuce. Water. One Werther's Original caramel. The tail end of a cantaloupe (about 1/2 c.).
Walk 3 km.
Snack (?) 2 c. lemon zinger tea.
Gotta get in more exercise today! Maybe an exercise video/dvd. It's yucky outside and I don't really feel like another walk.2012 Challenges

OK Peanut let's do this together. I need to eat more healthful and workout more. My gym is closed the next two weeks but I know I can do other things.

I did go for another 1 km. walk last night. Not much, but I had to go to the bank.
Supper was Mandarin Orange Salad with low calorie Italian dressing (Kraft) and a rice and nut pilaf with dried fruit in it.
Breakfast this morning was 2 c. of smoothie (yogurt, skim milk, banana, raspberries and 2 ice-cubes of mandarin orange juice from the can). Yumm...

Not very good at keeping up with things, am I?
Oh well.
Today was a 3 km. walk. But the food was bad. Pancakes with unsweetened applesauce and maple syrup for breakfast. Lunch was mac and cheese with tuna and mixed veggies and ketchup. DD#2 made chocolate chip cookies and I ate 4! Supper was BBQ pork loin chops, potatoes, carrots and tomatoes with basil and hm salad dressing. Yum! I also ate a caramel and wished I hadn't. Too much sweet stuff today.
I'm trying to talk dh into another longish walk tonight.2012 Challenges

Well I might remember to exercise! I did do well with diet lately. I am pigging out on jello with fruit in it a fair bit. I've had jello in my cupboard for almost 3 years and decided to mix it up and use it! I was doing it for company, but they backed out at the last minute. So we have this honking huge bowl of jello to eat...
Anyways, I'm eating the remains of the Salmon Pie as a kind of pate on an open face flax bread sandwich...if it could be called that. That's been lunch the last couple of days.
I had oatmeal for breakfast yesterday and French toast made with skim milk and Naturegg substitute today.
Last night's supper was low fat Baked Brown Beans with flax bread. Tonight's was organic corn-on-the-cob, half a chicken breast and 1/2 c. brown Basmati rice.
I was hungry today for some reason, so had a 'second lunch' of baked brown beans about an hour after the first. Also had an apple for snack, and 2 caramels.
I walked about 3-4 km. today. And about 1 km. yesterday. Totally pathetic. I *need* to get back to doing Pilates...or something.
I *am* drinking lots of water though. And I appear to have dropped 2 lbs. in the last 3 or 4 days.
So far so good...

I finally figured out *why* I should subscribe to forums! Found my user cp lists all the threads I've posted on. I've been wondering where they were and how to keep track of them all! LOL What a dummy. Hopefully that will make it easier for me to remember to pop in here and update.
Yesterday was a bomb food-wise. I made low fat muffins for breakfast and that was good. And I had l-f baked brown beans for lunch. BUT I went out for supper to Boston Pizza because I was just too tired to cook.
I was doing a lot of running around yesterday and took my water with me. DD#1 was with me and drank a lot of it.
I didn't get much exercise in due to driving around, but I did get a 2.5 km. walk in. Need more if I'm going to lose weight.2012 Challenges

Well it's two days later. Not bad diet wise. Horrible exercise wise. Haven't done a thing in 2 days! Good water wise. I'm off to kick my butt into doing something. I think fall is in the air and I'm starting to feel like hibernating again.

I did! At least I've managed to fit in one walk a day and some Pilates. Something is better than nothing.
My diet has been good. Except today I had two pieces of a bakery cake. DD#1 bought one to see what her wedding cake might taste like. They're thinking of using this particular baker for the cake.
Otherwise, homemade food from scratch which is real healthy for meals. Oatmeal for breakfast this morning. Omelet made from Naturegg egg substitute yesterday, with flax toast and natural peanut butter.
Lunch yesterday was a leftover Sweet Potato and Black Bean Burrito. Lunch today was a low fat cheese sandwich made with lf cheddar on lf raisin bread.
Supper yesterday was leftover Swt. Pot. and Bl. Bean Burrito. Supper today was lf tacos. We used yogurt instead of sour cream on them. And lf cheddar, grn. pepper, tomatoes and lettuce. In a ww tortilla. Yumm!
Water has been good. I take my water bottle with me everywhere and drink all the time. It seems to be working. I'm always thirsty and I seem to be losing weight.
DD#1 came to me today to ask about health, nutrition and exercise. I gave her a binder I have with tons of information on stuff. I'm glad I kept all that stuff from nurses, doctors, etc. over the years!2012 Challenges

Guess I really am lousy at keeping this up. I did manage to lose one solitary pound in Sept. I was hoping for more. However I had some minor surgery that put me out of commission for exercising for about a week. So I guess I couldn't be expected to lose during that week. I'm hoping to do better in October. We'll see.

Well between the surgery and a very stressful vacation, I managed to put on 5 lbs.!!! I'm 168 lbs. now! One pound heavier than when I started this thread! Heeeelp! It's time to get back to proper eating and exercise.
I think I need to follow my meal plans better. And to make healthier snack choices. I seem to be eating a lot of sugar lately. Not a good sign.2012 Challenges

I just saw this in my subscribed threads. Geesh! I should go through those every now and then!
I'd love to see 167 lbs. again! I'm currently at 182 lbs. But also falling due to a change in medication. I hope below 167 lbs. We shall see. Sugar cravings have stopped. I'm signed up to see another dietician. I'm keeping a food and exercise journal. And I'm trying to fit in some walking every day. Hopefully those things will make a difference.2012 Challenges

You never give up Peanut - what a great quality to live your best life with. Hate how medications mess with our lives - but they are surmountable for sure!! Looking forward to hearing more success - exercise and water combine to really help our bodies!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
