Ha...you beat me to it IntlMom.

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

I LOVE to scrapbook. My sister and I get together about every month for a weekend and just go like mad making pages...LOL

Maybe you need a friend for scrapbooking. I sometimes feel like I do more, even cleaning the house, when someone is there to keep me company.

I suppose it helps to be interested in just about everything. Even then, hobbies server various purposes ... some are just relaxing, some produce tangible goods, some can earn a little money on the side.

I do a lot of digital photography and computer art, but I have been trying to get away from the computer more recently, since it strains my eyes. And I work by day on a computer, so I need my eyes.

Funny about the gardening note. Right now we're growing cucumbers and tomatoes! And spinach, chives, beans, bell peppers and eggplant -- all in three half wine casks. The soil here is so bad, anything we planted in the ground died (or got eaten by wabbits). But in the casks, anything grows.

My main hobby of a lifetime is stamp collecting, and once eBay came along, it ended up being about half my income, too. And oddly it doesn't interfere with the hobby side. Every other hobby I ever tried making money at, the demands spoiled the fun.

Collecting things can get expensive, of course. In a way, it's like scrapbooking ... finding colorful bits, and arranging them in interesting ways. I have a few "scrapbooks" of liquor labels, match books, etc. It's also a weird form of recycling.

I also found I have a knack for making bead jewelry ... really simple stuff, and it makes a never-ending stream of gifts, and an occasional heap of extras for thrift shop displays, craft fairs & such.

Just try things. I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy, or something to keep your hands busy. Don't worry about not being good at first -- a good hobby should be fun to learn.
