    Question button craft ideas

I am trying to make a few of the button wreaths for gifts, but was wondering if anyone else has any other EASY craft ideas that I can make with buttons. I have a huge bag full that I got at the second hand store and would love to be able to use them on more craft ideas. There is just no extra money for gifts this year and I am not very good at crafts, but am willing to try!!! I am hoping to include the buttons wreaths and another craft item or two in a white washed or painted basket as gifts. Thanks in advance.

Use a straw wreath, wrap a long strip of fabric around it, to cover. Glue or pin it in place..... Glue or pin buttons all over it.... Use some vintage sewing notions to glue on. old scissors, old spools of thread, use some of the fabric or a vintage seamstress's measuring tape to make a bow..... I made one for my sister's sewing room a couple years ago, they look darling !!!

You could decorate the handle of the basket with buttons.

You could make samller wreaths as ornaments to match.

If it is for your children: take one of thier sweat shirts or sweaters and sew some on in a design, just a simple design like a star or a squiggly line, a flower ect.... Viola: New Shirt!

That's all I can think of now. Think of the things you have laying around the house that you could recycle. Buttons can be sewn on or hot glued to just about anything.

I used a hot glue gun to glue buttons all around a picture frame. It turned out really cute. I also bought a fancy saucer at a thrift shop and cut a picture, of our granddaughters, to fit in the center. I added buttons around the outside and then added a hanger. I have them hanging in our livingroom. They look really cute.

I've seen a craft where you fill a mason jar with buttons, add a votive candle, and voila...very pretty effect.

I like the other ideas here too...my craft project list keeps getting longer and longer
