    Smile Salt Dough Ornaments

    Salt dough ornaments

    1 cup salt
    2 cups flour
enough water to form a soft dough.

Mix together ingredients, adding flour or water as needed to form a pliable dough. Use cookie cutters, rolling pin, natural objects, etc. to help make patterns or cut shapes, or form by hand as you wish.
Don't forget to poke a hole near the top of each ornament so it can be hung later.

Bake at 200 degrees until fully dried, then paint with acrylics. Seal the ornaments with clear acrylic so they don't goo up or get buggy. Be sure to spray the Sealer outside.

You can be so creative with this. You can make small wreaths and angels and stars. Put the year or a name on a star with glitter right before you seal it. Make a nice ornament gift.

Just call me lucky! I was doing some cleaning today (dmil's things) and I found a box of 18 disney character dough ornament molds with instructions. The paint is no good but I have lots of paint.

I can't wait to try these.

These are so easy to make, and much cheaper than buying from the craft store
